I'm currently using the lose it app ( the free version) I did it before but I quit but I decided to start doing it again because I want to be able to do my job better and I have back problems I work 3rd shift and sometimes I fill in on days in the Nursing field and I have to do a lot of walking and lifting and I want to feel better too. I will try turning on the exclude exercise calories to see how I do as well I'm putting myself up for a challenge to lose weight

Yup, definitely turn that feature off. Have you checked out my video of Noom yet? It might be a bit better for your weight loss goals because it provides a bit more of a "dieting system" rather than an app to count calories.

Is there a way to summary your entire day as opposed to just each meal per day? Right now I still use the free version.

Yes, that's available on the paid version. I have a screenshot of what it looks like in my article (feastgood.com/lose-it-app-review/). Scroll to the section called "What I Like" and then read the sub-section called "It Can Send Out Daily or Weekly Nutrition Reports". I will say, though, if you go the premium route there are only 2 options: pay for the full year or pay for a lifetime membership. I really don't like that we can't pick a month-to-month option. The yearly plan is only $40 though, so pretty cheap compared with the rest of the nutrition app market. If you're looking for a paid app with a month to month plan, then check out my review of Macrofactor. Just go to my diet app playlist. It's my top paid app recommendation (at least for now). There's a 2-week free trial.

Such an odd review. Did you contact their support to ask why the macros don’t add up to the total calories? Perhaps there might be something that you don’t know about?

We did not contact their support, but we did test the app over the course of 1 month and this is what we found. If you try it and find your experience is different then let us know here.

@@feast_good well to my understanding, being on a high carb low fat diet doesn’t help you loose weight. Unless you are looking to maintain or gain. Your body has 3 sources for energy; glucose, fat and if those two main sources are depleted, protein. Carbs trigger insulin and the low fat Is usually replaced with sugars and other artificial ingredients to provide a familiar taste and keep you addicted to those thing. And as far as I know and have experienced, counting calories in the long run destroys your metabolism. Could you do a video on why your particular diet works for you. I’m aware that all bodies are different and people have particular health goals in mind other than loosing weight.

@@robertsam5244 If you're just looking to lose weight, without any regard for your body composition (lean mass vs fat), then counting your calories and ensuring you're in a deficit is the way to achieve that. A "deficit" means eating fewer calories than the number of calories it takes to maintain weight. If you want to find your optimal calorie deficit (which can range from 250-500 calories below maintenance), then just follow the steps in this article: feastgood.com/calorie-surplus-vs-calorie-deficit/. Counting calories in the long run DOES NOT "destroy" your metabolism. However, being in a deficit either too long or having too aggressive of a deficit, will eventually affect your metabolism. That's why people shift their intake between weight loss, weight maintenance, and weight gain.
