He should have been long gone before the Dortmund game. He has been in charge for 17 Premier games only won 5, 29.4% win rate and in those 17 games we have only scored 15 goals. Tuchel on the other hand had won 3 of his 6 and we scored 8 goals. How he is still in charge of Chelsea is mind blowing.

Yes Tone, you nailed it. I’ve no answers either but the reality is the new owners can’t let this go on. We are on a down wards spiral and there must be a level that they can’t let the club go to. There’s suggestions that he has 3 games to get things going. Can he do it? I wouldn’t have thought so. We are stuck with these owners whatever their plans and I just hope it’s not all about the $. Love the retro intro, I was there through all those times, SB properties & Marler estates. It was bad! UTC

Cheers buddy me too great times even though it was a different end of the spectrum, great memories never the less I heard about the 3 games too and if that’s the case then I would say that they see the Tottenham game as a what difference does it make, win it the supporters are happy because it’s Spurs loose it and they can sack him anyway which may well be the case if Chelsea supporters make their feelings known, after Spurs we got Leeds another rival especially for the old Skool and they are relentless with the press so I can’t say we will win that and to tell you the truth with Dortmund coming up 3 days later I’d probably rest half the team as it’s more important I dunno mate, it’s a real problem isn’t it, if we had just built the new Chelsea around Tuchel everything would be ok it just feels so uncertain doesn’t it

Thanks Tony. Despite our frustrations and anger about where we are it actually your intro and finish pics that calmed me down. 🤣 As early 60’s blue through 70’s and 80’s 90’s up to Roman as you know we were nowhere near as successful. Half stadium bankruptcies and second division (still one of my best seasons with D2 championship) our history has to tell us to be patient, like when we were, during this transition. The upside is the. we owners are happy to use bundles, but yes Potter and the team are not performing well. TBF love TT but it wasn’t right with the squad at start of this season and are we blaming that for Potter plus all of the upset around the management changes and umpteen injuries and new players. Watching your pics reminds me where I came from (Wandsworth family) and we need to support the players and the coach at least until the this season and see where we are. TBH we ain’t going anywhere near top 4 and we ain’t relegating. I was praying for luck with my dad up there for Dortmund game. Thanks Tony loved your discussion and of course the images. Carefree. 🔵

Hi my friend, I really enjoyed reading your comments, I like to read what people think I see other channels just not bother and that’s terrible because when someone feels the need to write they are expressing their feelings based on thoughts and it’s important to recognise that so thank you The intro and the outro is very much a part of me and it’s memories like that where our love for the club was forged those moments as you say, 60 s we were the nearly men although we snatched a league cup Docherty s diamonds and all that and then that all London Cup fa cup final against Spurs with Jimmy Greaves in a white shirt In the 70 s we had Dave Sexton who was a man technically advanced beyond his years that first fa cup win the first to go to a replay then European glory in Athens against Real Madrid, then the late 70s the 80s the financial issues the new East Stand relegation at Tottenham promotion relegation then the man with the white beard bought us for a pound Clive Walker and the almost moment of landing in the third tier promotion Dixon Speedie Nevin Spackman wonderful times, full members zenith data systems, Marler estates save the bridge Mathew Harding, Hoddle Gullit Vialli Zola Wembley 97 blue day and Roman and then everything came we win it all I know the point your making and I get it, we’ve been there seen it all and therefore let’s remember those times and support Potter I get that however the problem for me is that looking back although those memories were amazing, we are not that club anymore and it’s standards, let them drop they are harder to see return, I just think employing a man however nice he is where he has won nothing has a 31% win rate to be manager of Chelsea a giant football club is madness and we are seeing the fruits of that decision, also and I am biased when I say this, but sacking Thomas Tuchel was madness Anyway thank you for your comments much love and UTC

I couldn’t agree more and we have a media and pundits all saying how we should give it time when we are the most unrecognisable Chelsea to most if not all of them, there is without doubt an agenda going on We also have Chelsea pundits like Jason Cundy Joe Cole Pat Nevin all in agreement with the club I would say that going against the huarache isn’t best for their association with the club, it’s like a bloody conspiracy and I am shocked with some Chelsea supporters that can’t see what is plainly obvious As you say Joseph, 31% win rate at Brighton 31% win rate at Chelsea and there are people in the comments section who are entitled to an opinion but think any criticism of what’s going on means your not supporting the club its insane

Okay, so this will be a long post, but so be it. I have read and participated on back and forth about all this, and I wanted to be very clear about my own feelings. Firstly, Chelsea are an elite European football club. We don't win the PL every year, but we usually win something. We've won 18 trophies in 23 years. All of that was under the last owner. The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior, we know how good we are, so we have EXPECTATION. We're not spoiled, we're not being brats, we just know our history - 18 trophies in 23 years. It's who we are, it's part of our DNA. It's the very definition of being an elite level club. Something else that continually comes up are those saying the Potter out crowd just don't understand that the club has changed. Everything has changed, from trainers to owner. Well, as fans we don't get to choose our owners and their strategies. We support Chelsea, we don't necessarily endorse what the owner is doing. Hence Man Utd fans hate their owners, even when indisputably, they've spent a lot of money over the last 10 years. Fans understand change better than most, we've been following the club for a lifetime, we've seen people come and go. In fact, what we're complaining about isn't the change at all, it's pure and simply the results. We want to be entertained, we want to see us winning games, we want to see a manager who is improving players so we don't have to splash out 100m on the next Messi. That is why half the fan base wants Potter out. Let's look at Potter and his role for a bit. Potter earns 10m a year. That's elite level wages, so it is logical to expect elite level performance. He came in with a degree in Psychology, an apparent pedigree of making Brighton mid-table. His job is simple, to make a winning squad. He was supposed to be an expert in all this. A football brain, apparently. But let's keep in mind, we've had highly rated managers here before, and they failed. We've seen what can happen. It's Potters job to win games, coach players to be better, and to outsmart the opponent. Arguably, he's failed at all this thus far. Yes, but it's only been four months! So come the excuses. Too many new players! Too many injuries! The World Cup! Well, guess what - every team would love the problem of a lot of new faces coming in. Every team gets injuries. Every team had a World Cup break. You know what is supposed to help with lots of injuries? Spending 600m on new talent. So what we want is for Potter to do his job, to guide us to victory, to do the basics. Again, he's failing at this. Not a single player has gotten better under Potter. Some have gotten a good deal worse: Mount, Havertz, etc. And those aren't new buys, they were in the squad that won the CL a couple years ago. Why is this acceptable? Why do we blame the players when we have a coach who is having this effect on multiple players? How about identity? Who are Chelsea in 2023, what is our style of play, how is it different from before? Well, it's different because we can't score. Other than that the tactic seems to be: for every pass forward have two back. Get to the opponents half, slowly, so the opponents can set themselves, try to tinker our way through the defense and either a) Lose the ball; or b) scuff a shot. Reset, repeat, rinse. I can't fathom even what he's trying to do. The structure, the demands. He changes players around where it's less important, but kept playing Havertz as a striker when it was clearly not working. Over and over. WTF. Let's talk "longevity". Longevity seems to mean, for a good number of fans, keeping a manager for 5 years or more. They scream, "Look at Pep!", or even "Look at Arteta!". Well, Pep was already a proven elite level manager when he joined City. There was good reason to put faith into him, he'd won a ton of silverware. Arteta on the other hand, has won nothing. There seems to be an assumption he's going to win the PL this season, but we don't know that. Let's see. Let's also keep in mind, Arsenal fans have had to watch some pitiful football waiting for this current run. The thing is, there are no guarantees. Sticking with a manager who is losing or doing poorly doesn't automagically mean they'll be elite in two or three seasons. Which is why you want some level of success, some sign things are going well. Otherwise it seems as though these longevity fans are willing to sacrifice our clubs success just to have a long term manager. What sense does that make? The club and its fans will be here long after Potter has gone. Longevity doesn't seem to offer fans anything of benefit. It's a buzz word in football. "But look at how successful those with a long term plan are!" Let me remind you - 18 trophies in 23 years. Don't tell me the only way forward is with "longevity". No fan wants change for change sake, but we're not dumb. We see what is happening. Apparently the players are happy, the manager is happy, the owner is happy. So I guess the only unhappy ones are 50% of the fan base who apparently dislike watching dross, losing, and not scoring goals. They don't like us being rooted 10th. They don't like knowing we're out of every trophy bar one, and we'll be out of that next week. We don't like that we won't get CL next season. Surprise, surprise! And an elite mentality requires high standards, and no compromise. I really don't care if people are happy or not - just play good football and win some games! They're highly paid professionals, and they know what they came here for - to win. Happy? It's a nice bonus, but that's all. Discipline, demands, a craving to be just a little bit better than you were yesterday. That's elite level sports. Finally I'll simply say - I don't think those who want Potter out dislike the guy, par se. What they dislike is the football and the results. Mount was our players of the year for two seasons, and we don't like seeing him degrade. If Potter turns us into Man City, we'll love it, and we'll get behind him. But it'll be results based. It won't be this cult of personality mentality. Whether he's a nice guy or not could not be less important. It's the LEAST important. We'll forget the fact that the current Brighton team under a new guy is better than Potters version. If Potter has a tactical masterwork and we slaughter Spurs at the weekend, we'll all applaud him. Then he needs to go on a run. It's all RESULTS. As someone who is a manager of an elite squad, that's the very least we should demand. Nothing else matters. Prove us wrong Potter! Win a game of football, score a goal, hell score more than one goal for goodness sakes. DO SOMETHING. Because right now, you're offering zilch but platitudes.

@@ChelseaSW6 JG is fine. Can we just get a win? Can we rebuild from a position of strength, rather than weakness? If Potter gets us to 6th, it won't be a victory, it's a climb-down. A rebuild does not have to equal a failure - City have rebuilt more than once. A rebuild, and failure, are not intrinsically linked. Potter has simply done poorly. We're no longer an elite football team, we're desperate for a win. It takes failure to take us from top four to 10th, no excuses.

@@MaterLacrymarum I don't know why it's taking some people so long to realize the trigger-happy way we ran the club before is gone, it's never coming back, we will only be an elite side if in the next 10 years we can make the club sustainable with a long term vision toward success, you will realize this is the case whether you like it or not, you can either do that now, or attempt to hound out a coach in order to find out, I understand the previous owner has conditioned people to only see improvement in one way, but you will have to find out there is another, because that period in our history is finished.
