Hey Mitch, I bought this deck and got to play it yesterday as my last game of the year in a 6 player game. The game lasted about 2 hours and was a really good game. Everyone put up a really good fight and I ended up winning in a really close call against a spirits deck, and most of the players really enjoyed the chaos of the game. I won't be playing this deck every game I play because that would get boring very fast for people, but I wanted to let you know that your deck resulted in the most positive and fun Magic experience I've had for the whole of this year. Assault Suit needs to be in this deck. It allows you to pass Zurgo to all of your opponents and hire any of them but you. I call it the Angry Pinball

for like 2 bucks you can get "world slayer" an equipment that destroys all other permanents when equipped creature does combat damage. you could add that to a "break the bank" version of the deck. pretty much win after the first hit.

This deck is 10 kinds of fun. I built a very non-budget version of this with board wipe tribal a while ago, and it’s brutal 1v1 especially. He is a proud member of my 29 physical commander pantheon. Proud to see he’s just as fun at a 200th of the cost.

Classic Commander for me. Lost most of my collection and thus my commander decks due to unfortunate circumstances back in 2014. However, from the ashes I managed to build this guy as my first new commander deck while trying to rebuild my collection. Still have it to this day.

My $30 vadrik deck claps and is borderline cedh basically. Only lost 2 out of 12 pods and some were a 5 pod. Heavily underrated since he is a new commander.

I put a bit more resources into vadrik and he is mean. Birgi plus one of the buy back red cards like haze of rage or something is basically infinite power for vadrik which just means whacky large x spells

@@TheUltimateRey so basically i changed the $25 profile that mtggoldfish made up a bit and then added sol ring, talisman of creativity, and arcane signet. Deck has like 8 rocks, 2 or 3 counters, multiple pump spells to increase his power like dragons mantle and some instants. the main win cons are haze of rage into a jayas inferno or whispers of the muse, or steam kin or storm kiln artist with a seating touch when his power has enough for free buyback. I can also temporal fissure and basically pull an infinite capsize and i guess commander damage could be lethal too lol. For $30 the deck is cracked; my strongest budget deck where usually my $100 profiles stick around a 7 since i like to stay more casual than cedh; emry stays at home thats my baby and is a straight 10.

I used to play back when Ice Age was new. My brother, being the asshole he was built a control deck, Winter Orb, Millstone, Meekstone the whole nine yards. Absolutely infuriating to play against and he spent a good chunk of his allowance to put it together. I beat it with a deck that cost maybe $5 and only had 40 cards. Zephyr Falcon, a 1/1 creature with flying and doesn't tap when it attacks combined with Unstable Mutation, which boosts a creature +3/3 but gets -1/1 at the start of every turn until whatever you put it on died. Throw in a couple of counter spells and a few power sinks to keep anything too bad from happening and with one creature I could take half your hit points with very little you can do to counter in the the first few rounds. And I always had two in my hand because of the small deck size. He almost flipped the table when I beat him. I took that deck to a local tournament and got second place.

Too bad Chandras Ignition is too spendy at $5. It would be perfect. -It is a boardwipe when commander is on board (7 damage kills most things) -Since commander does the 7 damage to each creature, it gets a +1/+1 counter for each creature that died.

This is a cool deck! One way to upgrade it that I would do is throw in enchantments that have universal death triggers. They don’t get removed by your wrath’s and they give you a bunch of value that turns your wrath’s into more than just board wipes. Cards like moonlit wake, dingus staff, eternal thirst, necrosynthesis, sadistic glee. These cards are all relatively cheap but there are also a bunch in the higher budgets like mesthook massacre and black market that could benefit from all of the death triggers.

The "lose all your friends" card for me recently became Etali. I have him in Veyran deck. With Eye of the Storm and Thousand-year Storm. Revolving around stealing things for good and getting extra turns. Yeaaaaaaaah. Etali on turn 4 can paint you a juicy target mark on your forehead anyway.

I have a very similar deck. Our lgs has an Urza problem (too many Urza players locking up the board with Narset, Parter of Veils and Puzzle Box) so I made a deck where the commander is Rosheen Meanderer amd every card is destroy target artifact, destroy islands, or counter target blue spell. Its sole purpose is to deal with the Urzas.

Worldslayer would be a better Golden Pig. Literally ends games. I run it in my Zetalpa deck to take advantage of the trample/flying to get that combat damage in, the indestructible to live the wrath, and the double strike to trigger Worldslayer twice in one turn to make sure nothing sticky gets to survive.

I've run a Zurgo wrath/voltron for some years and my favorite combo is to cast Zurgo in an empty battlefield then Armaggedon. Late game it is brutal.

Zurgo is that legendary creature i keep leering at in a weird way to build a "board wipe" deck where i can safely run all the "destroy all creature" cards BUT Zurgo is more a "voltron" commander than a "go wide" commander. There are equipment's that create creature tokens, including a vehicle. Not all board wipes leave your artifacts alone. You never normally have mana to cast Darksteel Forge..... i really feel like if i want a "Voltron" commander, i have other options. Especially since Darksteel Plate exists.

You missed one card: Worldslayer: When Equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, Destroy all permanents other than Worldslayer. Indestructible Commander who's favorite thing is smacking people? No lands for anyone? GG... hehe.

Another way to piss your friends off for cheep is my "Sunnyside up" so much mana shuffling and it takes many many many minutes for the kill turn. I have been banned from ever playing it again by any opponent who has seen it.

I'm surprised Worldslayer wasn't on this list. You get a worldslayer onto zurgo, get a clean shot in, and it's GG. Everything's destroyed except Zurgo and Worldslayer, your next turn you just attack the open player and board wipe on every single one of your combat steps
