Thanks for the kind words I appreciate that. Sounds to me your end points are off.? After you hit the breaks does your throttle move at all? Also whoever told you 1mm idle gap is wrong. You want 1/2mm ! Don’t keep your glow igniter on to long like that. Once it starts remove it! Also when you check your mesh hold the sour gear ⚙️ then go back and forth with bell. It must have a cunt hair play to it and make sure the engine is also level . I hate that about the RTR that it does not come with the level marks on the chassis like the TLR 4.0s do! If your near Long Island on Saturday? Let me know and I’ll set you up in 30 minutes.

I always keep my idle gap at 1/2 mm and if I want to rase or lower the idle ? I richen or lean the low speed needle to increase or lower my idle. When you hit your breaks does your engine stall ?? If so it will be something with the clutch or bearings but if it’s not ? Do the quick little things I said earlier.

Not every Modified engine looks the same Remember that! Each person mods engines differently with different technics. Some guys I won’t say any names try to clone RB Mods and I know this for a fact and if it gets out of control ? I may have to put names out there? Neal from TNS had his own way of Modified Engines and he did no sleeve work at all only crank , button head , and sometimes piston and different engine timing .

Thanks Botajell. I really appreciate you getting at me. Man I wish I could be over east this weekend. I'd learn so much. I live in Colorado. So just a little far. Thanks for the invite and tips you have for me. Just shows what kind of guy you are. I just got off and work tomorrow. So on Sunday I will try what you said and see how she runs. I can let you know how it goes. Big thanks to all you do. You work never goes unnoticed. I hope you have a blessed Easter with your family and friends this weekend. Take care Botajell and thank you again.

Thanks for the shout out brotha, first out a rubber band or hair band in your carb to have it snap back to idle quickly, seems like your idle is a little to high, adjust you idle screw counter clock wise about maybe 2 hours but make sure the engine is at operating temps, your servos are making that noise because the are looking for zero that’s common with some servos, nothing to worry about. Far as the wheels spinning mines do the same thing when the wheels are off the ground, if you put the car on the floor and it doesn’t move it fine. Like I said start with turning your idle down some and put a rubber band or hair band on your carb 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Hey Rajaa sorry for getting back to you so late. I just got off. Anyway you can further explain what you mean by putting a rubberband or hair tie around or in the carb. I have never done that. So just not sure what you mean by that. Thanks for all you do bro. You're such a big great help to me. Glad you had fun on vacation So sick you went to such a beautiful place. Glad you got to chill with the fam. That's most important. Hope you have a great Easter weekend with friends and family. Stay up my guy. Thank you again

Vincent Martinez one of the nitro guys runs the rubber band on the carb to help it slide closed/idle faster. Just have to get creative with the rubber band.

Going back to stock settings is a good benchmark to tune from. take a pic with your phone of the needle positions that will help you go back as well if you over tune... i just got this truggy myself and im looking forward to blasting her.. great video keep em coming and we all start someplace...

it sounds like the idle screw needs tweaking or tweak the throttle trim on the radio. Also to fix your centering on the throttle trim, take the horn off the servo, center the servo on the controller, then out it back on straight and it should be re-centered. And the noise is coming from the servo trying to turn when it can't.

Thanks a bunch for the servo help. That is much appreciated. Hope you have a great day!

update ..tried to break in my losi 8ight t this am .. this .28 will not hold an idle no matter what i do...everyone else i see starts up idles no problem . of course not the case for me...this thing cant hold a idle in a bucket.....
@ian31664 жыл бұрын
You good? Low speed is probably very rich and you can increase idle speed with the trim. Just do it for break in and once you are done lean it out till it idles itself.
@shaunholden76333 жыл бұрын
I'm sure you know by now beings this was two years ago but them stock servos are trash they never recenter all time. And that can screw with your idle throttle trim.
@driftcraze21382 жыл бұрын
Damn I know I'm late but you got causes of this problem one idle is set too high which doesn't look like it if you are set at 1 mm so that's not it the second could be you might have a few or air leak somewhere the third one could be that the springs in the clutches are no good and as soon as you start the car the clutches engage hope this helps if you haven't figured it out yet.

Also, great advise below, but you mentioned your throttle trim on your radio - is it adjusted to zero so when you let off trigger it goes to neutral. If not, it could be giving it gas automatically. Easy fix if thats the case.

Clutch for sure! Weak clutch springs. I am sure you figured it out by now but that's my gut instinct.

Hey vince its to lean on the low end neadle! While shes runining turn the low end neadle counter clockwise in small incurments till the wheeks either slow down or stop! Also warm it up and then pinch the fuel kine and get it to quit at 3 to 5 sec then you should be good let me kniw how rmthat works! Ps as gar as idle use a paper clip its exsactly .05mm

Bro really good Video!The problem that you have could be a few things: 1.Your clutch bearings could be bad. 2.Your clutch could be engageinv to early but i think you are using the stock one so that should not be the case. 3.it could just be your needle settings. How i would troubleshoot: Take your engine off,check if your clutch bearings are smooth,that your bell doesnt have too much play(IMPORTANT)and just that everything looks fine and in good shape. If this still happens,set your engine to the default settings except the idle gap,keep the gap at 1mm.When your engine is running you can lower the idle with the idle stop untill you get a steady idle but your wheels dont engage.You can tune from there.I recommend this vide(note :this is how I tune and it works perfectly for me):kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKrdZ52oYtqEoK8
