That is by far one of the sweetest trucks I have ever seen. Nice work. I was born in 69 so I totally get the chrome look!

Great job Keith ! Patience is KinG !! The first set I did I figured I could make another round to the backside.. Oho sure there dry ... Not so much... But I did learn a valuable lesson !! Exposed glue on the sidewalls tends to make the rubber brittle in turn destroying the tire.. Lesson learned and shared ! BTW I use my shop light to warm up the glue if I have one wheel to repair.. Keeps the wifey happy and doesn't damage the CI foams ...Keep up the good work !!

My stock rims have cracked, the plastic is weak but I love tires, I want to remount them on better stronger wheels, I’m running 3s on mine, the inner pinion bearing desintegrated on its 6th run, I’ve since installed the fast eddy bearings.thanks for your helpful tips!

Great tutorial Keith. As always, a very informative video. The Losi looks better with the choice of rims you made. I'm not a fan of the Baja, but your looks killer!! Good job bro!!

Thanks for the kind words and support bro! What is it about the Rey that makes you dislike it?
@sanchoancho65107 жыл бұрын
+Bulletproof RC what I don't like is that it looks like a trophy truck that I wanna buy soon enough. This youngster is balls deep in RC now with a trophy truck that he created and used the SCORE body on if. I loved the SCORE when it came out and then I saw what ElvisRC made and I knew I had to have one of his. I look at the Rey and the plastic version of what Elvis first made. That's just my opinion. I'm not sure if you have perhaps seen his videos and the Trophy Truck he created. But they are top notch. I'm on the list to get one. It'll be my next RC. 👻

+Noel Torres Just checked his channel out and subd! Cool stuff! The only thing I'd worry about is what happens when it breaks. I mean, how do you get parts for it?
@sanchoancho65107 жыл бұрын
+Bulletproof RC takes a yeti transmission and the whole front end is designed to take the Yeti front end parts from Vanquish.

I still love my Yeti Score, but even after upgrades and tuning it still falls short of the performance of the Baja Rey. I'm hoping someone will release a center diff for the Score! That would really help the Scores performance!

i have used all sorts of ca glues and super glues and tire glues . no not all ca or super glues are the same . infact they all react different when glueing various materials. the one general purpose glue that i have found that works the absolute best in all cases on all materials including tires is AKA tire glue. i use it for everything even metal . for tires it is the only glue that has not let loose on me and from its general makeup is also the easiest to mount tired with. it stays liquid and allows manipulation of the beads for about 15-20 seconds before it activates and permanently bonds the beads. no other glue reacts this way and it dries fully in 2-3 minutes. not 6-8 hours . its inexpensive and comes in a large bottle with a large amount. easly found at any hobby shop for around $6-10 a bottle. bottom line use the correct tool for the job and that motto applies to tire glue
@krlaturn7 жыл бұрын
Randy Slagle Thanks for sharing. I'll have to try the AKA Glue. I don't think I recommend any general purpose glue however. My recommendation was permatex automotive grade super glue. It has not failed me just as your recommendation has not failed you. In my case the closest hobby shop is 1.5hrs away and hobby grade supplies must be ordered. Permatex has outperformed most hobby grade tire glues I've tried. But the AKA glue sounds great!

Looks sweet with the new shell colours and wheels ;O) Rit dye works well I used it on some buggy wheels after trying Dylon first that doesn't work unless you want a hippy tie dye effect kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZmlmZqIipiemNk ... Have you thought of running 8th buggy wheels on 17mm hexes cheaper set up and more choice of tyres etc. Acetone's good to remove the stock tyres with normal foams .. I've not tried the oven method I've got a pet Bird so wary of fumes for him, Kyosho and proline tyres are OK in acetone too but some smaller mini/micro wheels may melt I've heard..
@krlaturn7 жыл бұрын
Ive used 17mm hex conversion on my Losi SCTE but then was limited to 2.2/3.0 wheels for the Associated SC8. I'm not a fan of 1/8 Buggy wheels on scale rigs. Ive used RIT dye many times in RC but I have always done it prior to gluing on the tires. How did you get the water out of the foams?
@GazCle7 жыл бұрын
The slick ones don't have foams just a rubber tyre the others I just put on radiator after spinning em up on a drill to get most water out tyres have holes in as well as the rims
@billbarberconstructioninc.177 жыл бұрын
The only bummer with those wheels, is you lose the look of the disc brake. Also I recommend you look up HB Rodeoo tires. I think you'll be pleased with this tire look as well as performance!
@billbarberconstructioninc.177 жыл бұрын
Also you should pick up some tire rubber bands, I use Jconcepts pt# 2212-2
