55° in Wisconsin today👍. Had a rain to wash away the salt. 2 pak limitless run. Love it with the 18/50 gearing. Thanks again Earl.

2:50 What i did to install that bolt was cut about an inch of an allen key (forget what size it is, think it was 5mm) and just use a small wrench on it. Many exhausts are set up like that for the big stuff. Including my Victory pipe. There should be a spring pulling the pipe snuggly into the rubber grommet coming off the header. The third screw under the high and low speed needle is idle control. The throttle should be fully closed when starting and adjusting the fuel ratio.
@earlmoorhead55552 жыл бұрын
Can’t close the idle screw when it’s not tuned right when starting or you’ll be pulling the string rope all day & as it heats up the tune changes so adding throttle allows it to run long enough to get things set up properly without having to struggle so much in my eyes 👍👍

Definitely put a spring on the pipe, once it heat cycles it will be loose and rattle apart. I would get rid of the bolts and put studs in the head.

Yes unless you oil them like the K&N instructions say to do most ppl leave them dry as they clogg easy that way but definitely needs outter wear in heavy dirt runs 👍👍

I replaced the hex bolts on mine to bolts with heads that I can tighten with a wrench. I have no idea what they were thinking designing it like that so you can’t get a hex wrench to work on it.
@earlmoorhead55552 жыл бұрын
Right add a stud or change the bolt but don’t ship it like this we all have a way to get it to work but at this price it should work 👍💯

@HBFTimmahh2 жыл бұрын
you dont tune a 2 stroke by smoke out of the pipe. You tune a 2 stroke by plug color. You want a medium tan/caramel color. any lighter in color like a beige is too lean. any darker than caramel is too rich. If you try to break in a 2 stroke like a nitro, you'll fuck up the rings and shorten the life and weaken the power band of the 2 stroke. Need to Seat that Ring. that is what break in on a gasser consists of. That requires RPMS, A GOOD BIT OF them. well past 1/2 throttle. Just don't run it WOT for the first tank and well tuned getting into the 2nd tank you can hold WOT for whatever. but in the 1st tank, a gasser NEEDS to be brought Up to WOT and just not held there. Need to create that case pressure. In the time it took me to type this, I can tell its been idling for too long.
@earlmoorhead55552 жыл бұрын
Can’t read a plug idling tho 🤷🏻♂️
@HBFTimmahh2 жыл бұрын
@@earlmoorhead5555 First run you just tune for a good idle rpm, and not too rich on the L so it doesn't fall on its face. Tune the high needle to it gets up in rpms fast and not too rich. not too lean. will only take about 3-5 minutes to get color developing on the plug to start reading colors. Had a 26cc Reed Case ESP motor built for my Hooters Baja back in 2010ish, and had it running tuned up and making laps by the end of the 1st tank. 2nd tank was just letting it rip, leaving it just a bit rich. Had about 1000 into that motor. We stuck in on the Dyno at the end of the 2nd tank and was getting 6.8ish HP and 4.3ish ft lbs of torque at 14,800 rpms. Top rpm was just over 19,000. Don't be afraid to put some hammers on that motor and build up case pressure. It will thank you for it my man. Just no LONG TERM WOTs in the 1st tank. got up to WOT, just don't pin it and hold it there.
