I just got my first 1/5 scale and they’re a whole different animal! Now I understand why people love them lmao! Thanks to these videos I think a dbxle is next on the list. Quick question though, I’ve been having issues with one brand of battery and haven’t been able to find a answer to how far apart a cell can be before it’s concerning?
@earlmoorhead55552 жыл бұрын
When fully charged if a cell is 3.99 and lower and the rest at 4.20 each cell then it’s no good

Mine did that before. It ended up being weird like the castle was set to ccw rotation and the controller was on cw rotation. I ended up doing the whole start up hold trigger till beep, reverse till beep neutral till beep thing. Along with changing the motor rotation in castle link. I'm sure it's something goofy like that.
@earlmoorhead55552 жыл бұрын
Definitely something like that I’ve had that happ as well that why I reset trigger end point as castle is easy to do but after three attempts and playing with the power switch and nothing changed I knew something was broken 👍⚠️⚠️

Like my Dad taught me, when trouble shooting, when you find the problem, keep looking for the other problems, because it's rarely just one. Hopefully the radio swap solves it. Maybe your 3pos switch is faulty and stuck on low.
@earlmoorhead55552 жыл бұрын
Yes I feel the radio was bad and I swapped it out now it’s marked bad

You able to get pinion off using red loctite. I just use blue but for new pinions I use blue take light heat up pinion real fast to dry loctite remove grub than apply more loctite again and good 2 go. Never had 1 fall off yet. New pinions need at least 2 coats of blue or they'll fall off everytime....
@earlmoorhead55552 жыл бұрын

Earl I need help. I got the outcast 4s and I don’t know how to solder the capacitors to my xt90s. The wires come from the esc into the caps and then they come out the other side of the caps and into to IC5s somehow. I can’t find a video showing how to wire it to an xt90. Any advice? I’ve never seen wires come out both sides of the caps. They run into the middle of the IC5s somehow. Are those just telemetry wires? Can I just cut em off?
@earlmoorhead55552 жыл бұрын
Cap pack is soldered to the red and black esc main power wires not to the connectors I have videos showing how to install a cap pack 👍
