Losi TEN-SCTE diff shim procedure

Hey guys just a short video about how to properly shim your ring and pinion on your Losi Scte. Nice to see you are keeping you ten scte running. Have the 2.0 which was 1.0. Some parts discontinued.

you can use parts from the 3.0 I'm guessing. I now have the original 2.0 seen in this video and the newer 3.0 which was built from all the extra parts I had from my 2.0 (all new parts). I purchased all the 3.0 upgrades that were added all with the exception off the shocks. Which are on my to do list. the 3.0 sits on my shelf brand new.

Losi does not make a shim kit that's sold seperate but I did find a company that makes them. 3Racing.com part# 3RAC-sw12 The .2m are the ones that come in the Ten-SCTE 3.0. There in there tune kit but it does not list a part number on it too buy separate.

i just ordered these from tq rc racing. did you have to dremel them a little or did they fit over the diff? im gonna use them on the tenacity tt pro. i wonder if the 13mm ones for 1/8 buggy will work too?

If your refering to the 3RAC-sw12 shim kit. I had just purchased when doing this video I still had some old spacers from my ten scte 3.0 kit so I did not use the shims from that package at the time but the size chart was suppose to be correct for the hub. Interesting if they would not of fit without some dremel work. I got those part numbers from another fellow racer who had used that kit in the past. Was not aware of any fitment issues.The bearings that fit the hub are 12mm so they should be a perfect fit.

@@mogyver69 the losi shims are 12.2mm i believe "TLR3100". the 12mm bearings are pretty tight around the diff housing. thats why i thought they may have to be opened up a little.

@@jhue73 Today I pulled a brand new HD Hub kit from my spare parts and opened the shim kit and installed 2 shims. PERFECT FIT.
