It’s hard when you don’t feel like your friends are moving at the same pace as you. Especially when they are settling down and you’re still doing your own thing. Don’t worry about it. They are older than you and you will probably be at the same stage when you get a bit older.

I’ve found as long as I’m maintaining self-authenticity, I will be friends with the people I’m meant to be friends with. That being said though, I do believe that sometimes people just are not in the stage they would need to be to be compatible with my life even though I have a great history with and/or truly love said person and vice versa. I know I’ve had stages where I was going through my own stuff and I probably wouldn’t want to be friends with who I was at the time. People constantly vary day-to-day. It’s definitely a very nuanced dilemma everyone will continuously face.

I’m 27 and this hits home so hard. I had a period of being really ill from 2020-2022 so I was not well mentally or physically. A lot of my friends drifted away because of it. It hurts to think that we’re not as close anymore because of that time I was MIA- but I appreciate that that time showed me who my true and lifelong friends are, who were constantly checking on me.

just saw u uploaded this the same day i had to ask my old group of friends if they still liked me. we all used to be incredibly tight before i graduated and over the summer, but it seems like they stopped talking to me as soon as school started again. and its not that distance is a thing because im going to community college less than 20 mins away and they have group chats they text in constantly with ppl in uni over 3 hours away. they seem excited every time i pop up and they see me, but never reach out unless i do first or they were reminded of my existence (which rarely happens). it sucks to see people u used to care about so deeply phase out of your life, but i know im exactly where im supposed to be. your videos have really helped me through the incredibly lonely transition from high school to college, and i even bonded with someone new because were both huge muckers. thanks for always being there, adam

As someone who’s been suicidal on + off, I am not in the business of comparing the timeline of my life to others. If I’m gonna have to live through life and the pain it can bring, I’m gonna do whatever the I want. Also, most live incredibly boring lives, to where the timeline itself is what is exciting to them…I run and hide from the thought…

some of your friends will be divorced by 30, sadly - I was that person. But its ok, I found the right person after that. other friends I know were single well into their 20's and then met the right person. Some are still single in their late 30s but their career is great and they have great friendships. Your life is a completely unique story, you don't need to be where anyone else is in life.

You’re so young. I got married at 36, we bought a house right after and now I’m about to have our son and I’m 37. Don’t compare your journey. And don’t rush and end up with the wrong one. ❤

I can definitely relate with feeling like I’m in a different life stage than my friend group that I’ve been with since I was 16 (I’m 24 now). I feel like I’m moving faster than my group (buying a house, living with my partner, graduating uni) which makes me feel soooooo isolated and sad because I can’t do the things I used to before lol I feel like I still crave being a young and wild girl with no obligations and responsibilities but i also feel soo guilty for feeling that way because I feel so ungrateful AHHH!! It’s been a weird time but thank you for helping me see the other perspective because I really felt like I was the only one longing on the way things used to be :,)

Take YOUR time. You are still so so young. Have fun and continue doing you. 30s is a good age to settle down or just whenever you're ready. When I think back to 22 I was so young and still learning. But it is sad that as u age you have to plan hangouts.

Jesus Adam you made this right on time. I've been feeling this for a few years. I started a art business on top of My regular job in 2021and I've been through a lot this year. I feel like as I worked on my self and had to deal with a lot I always couldn't reach out first and I noticed some people didn't reach out because I didn't. But I gained a new set of people that are understanding and we catch up like nothing happened compared to my old friends which I still see form them to time and love but I just don't talk as frequent . Or see them as frequent

Navigating through life, friendship, and maintaining those friendships can be so difficult as you get older. Sometimes friendships are meant for a season and some friendships last forever. It’s hard, but I’ve learned at 36 years of age to treasure the friends you have in your life and allow them to bloom or let them go when the times allow. Also, as someone who didn’t get engaged till just last year please know you have plenty of time to figure it all out. Enjoy loving yourself and taking care of you!! The rest will come when it supposed to. You’re amazing and are doing amazing things!!♥️💚
