It's due to its design.The same engine is used in Indian Mig-29 and there is no same problem with them.Also,very less composite materials used to manufacture this plane.The aerodynamics and friction is killing it's non delta design,it can go with 1 mach so easily but 1.6 mach can kill its wings.Thats why Even Russian SU-57 and USA's F-22 has delta wing design.

Aerodynamics and drag are high, indian mig 29 is an upgraded version of the current, hence it's name upg. India manufactures su30 mki on license in india. Now it will make another upgrade called super sukhoi where it will be equipped with advanced systems. The engines require high maintenance and proper aerodynamics and composition of engine blades. Russia helps india in jet engines and overhauling them when necessary. The design of jf17 is similar to mig 21 which is being grounded because it has easy radar detection and is heavy which makes fuel consumption higher for a single engine fighter. Not suitable as a frontline fighter.

WS13 engine is Chinese version of RD93. JF 17 is just a renewal of another failed Russian air craft Mig 33. The design was secretly sold to china. And china befooled Pakistan. Thats why china herself never uses JF17 for PLAAF. ​RD 33 engines are being manufactured in India.
