Dying 0 times isn't always ideal. It means you are not taking risks that could save your team. Not getting staggered is huge ofc, but sometimes you HAVE to take these kinds of risks to save your team. Like gaing in front of everyone to take aggro off of your tank, bodyblocking, rez out in the open etc. Us mercy mains love saying we get 0 deaths, and often times it is huge because it means you always deny the enemy team ult charge (not to mention the emotional damage), but sometimes dying for a rez or to save a crucial player is better then staying alive, in my humble opinion

Skiesti and the kiriko did really good! Can someone explain to me why did her team lose despite having such good supports? From what I can tell, the enemy's ult usage really turned team fights over in their favour. But idk maybe theres another reason as to why her team lost.

from what i saw it just boiled down to not getting needed picks. plus that sombra was doing the lords work

The enemy team was better at focusing a target and they were really agressive. As you said, they had the oportunity to use ultis better and stagger the other team, that's when they pushed almost to the end. In the last fight they got the pick first, melted Kiriko in 2 seconds and Zarya was low, it was game over.

yeatle tank diffed the zarya, created too many opportunities for his team is what i thinks.

First, they had yeatle who's a really good tank player and in this situation he denied this team's zarya from being anything other then just just a pawn (average tank experience no cope totally not a doom main) and kiri mercy is not ur a very good healing duo, kiri is dive and mercy is poke so in this situation when both aren't suppose to do what they're made for against very good condition from the enemies their team will fail at some point and that's called losing a team fight

This is really tragic :( But this again shows how difficult it can be to climb on support if you don't happen to be a godlike dps Kiri, Zen, Bap. You can be doing an amazing job as support, but if your dps and/or tank aren't delivering, there's not much you can do. The carry potential as non-dps support is just not comparable to the other roles. You are often too dependent on your team to win the game. It can really be frustrating...

the enemy team had a sombra + zen plus a very good tank player. Mercy kiri is going to get melted in a comp like that esp when theres no counter to grav or emp. Discord is mad strong esp in the high ranks, zen is a tank shredder + mercy just wasn't the best support aginst the enemy comp when they had higher value utility + ults for ski's comp. Sometimes mercy isn't the pick and thats just how it b sometimes.

Instead of crying about how you can't carry on non mechanically demanding supports, improve your mechanics and you'll get out of whatever dog Sr you're in.

this just comes to show that even if ur playing really well as mercy and ur performing well, she still can get little value than other supports in certain comps. Tracer/reaper def not a not the best comp for mercy, i try to learn zen,bap and ana,brig when im not getting as much value as mercy w my team comp and has done wonders with maintaining and climbing solo q for games like this where my team needs other utility to help counter the enemy comp. Mercy will def struggle to keep her team alive with a high charge zarya + discord + hack. good luck fellow mercy mains 🙌

First off this was amazing to watch because i think ive learned a couple things, including kiriko ult boosting heals for mercy. As a mercy main that is valuable info lol. I just recently got into overwatch again after not playing for a while. I have a question though. My biggest weakness that ive noticed is i never know when the best time to ult as mercy is, is there specific things you should look for? I mean i do ult anytime we get a pick or if the team needs extra healing or wte but i still feel as if im not ulting enough or getting the most out of it idk... I have gotten cinsiderably better at map awareness and positioning however and ive made it to diamond recently lol so i suppose im not that bad of a mercy.

it's the natural ebb and flow of resources. one team uses ults, pushes ahead, the other team uses ults, pushes ahead, and it continues until the better team wins. sometimes. it still kinda sucks compared to other modes like escort...

There are so many channels like these for Mercy, yet none for Soldier. I struggle so much in high Master where I simply don't know what to do most of the times when losing ;(

Always stay near cover Peek do not stand out in the open High ground/w cover If with your with your team do not front line your a squishy you'll get obliterated wait for your tank to create space so you see an opportunity for a elim soldier is hitscan so that should be no problem And be aware of who is missing on the enemy team they are potentially flanking your supports

This happened to me a few times on my master account. That's when I realized mercy is only OP when the DPS is doing their job. She's powerless if you play perfectly but your team isn't doing well. Main supports have the least impact on the outcome compared to other roles.
