The prism bars to me is basically saying that with your eyes open you can see the light and it’s beautiful and colorful like a rainbow, but when you close the iris (eyes) of the lens you don’t see any of that beauty, you only see the make believe that’s in your head.

This is Rens journey to find the cure for his illness he finds his refuge in patience and pills ..the ending confirms it when the pills are taken the distorted sounds reference the side effects and the lyrics Could you be the one ? Could that pill be the one that finally cures him ?
