Shit I can't even watch all of this without loosing it. You never know what you have until it's gone. Damian, you're videos are usually wacky and crazy and I love them, but this took courage and he's still with you and he always will be. He'll always be with you. I felt the same way when I lost my grandma, so I know how it feels. This goes for everyone, don't take life for granted, you never know when it could be over. Damian, I have watched this video about 3 times so far and I can't handle seeing you devastated. Even though it is 2 years after, I will tell you my story. In 2009, I was in 4th grade and summer vacation started tomorrow. The tragic event happened at 12:15 on that day, right at lunch time. Like I said this was the second to last day before summer but I don't know what day it was, probably around June since summer vacation was just around the corner. There I am at recess and I am having one of the best times of my life because summer is almost there. I have my fun at school and I get on the bus to go home. I walk home from the bus stop and I get to my house and walk in. My step brother was laying on the couch watching the television and he told me and my brothers that my Dad wanted to see us. We all went to my older brother Chris's room for some reason and that's when we got the news. We had just learned that our mom had passed away. She drove into a lake and drowned from being drunk. I still went to school the next day because, well, I don't know. At recess I just sat down on a play structure and my friends started questioning why I was so depressed. I think I just came right out and told them that my Mom had passed. I don't remember their reactions but I remember going back inside into class. The only thing I remember is that my teacher had known for some reason that it had happened and the whole class pitched in and gave me a sketch book and some markers. The first thing I drew was a picture of my Mom and I holding hands and being happy. My Mom was one of the most important people in my life and I loved her with all my heart. She was really the only one I would talk about anything I could. She was not a drug doing idiot, she just happened to over drink and, did that. She was a great person and did not deserve to die. I felt good that so many people cared about me though and all of my friends were really supportive and tried to help me through my grief. I got through it like a normal person does. If it was my Moms week then this might have never happened. If I could go back and see her one last time, I would. I would tell her: "Stay home, Mom. Please stay home today. Don't leave the house, just stay here". I would give her the biggest hug and hold on until I had to go to school. I know she is still here watching over me right now and Mom, if your looking at this from heaven, I love you so much and will never forget about you. If you took the time to look at this, thank you.

If you don't like sad stories then dont read When I was 10 or 11 I was at school it was a normal day until I got home from school and went to see my grandma at the time she had brain cancer she went through 3 surguries then she came home and had a good meal and she went to bed and we left as I was going to school the next morning my mom got a call from my grandmas husband and he told my mom these exact words, last night you're mother in law passed away. Then I was told the same thing and I did not know what to do we went home and I went in my room imediatly I was so sad that she passed away she was very close to me I tried not to cry I did not even belive that she passed away because I did not want to accept it but it did. I know this is an old video but ill say this anyway. I went through something like this, maybe worse but I don't know. Back when I was 8 about 1 month till I was gonna be 9 years old it was the second week of 3rd grade and the day was September 14, 2010, my dad dropped me off at school and said "see you after school" and kissed my head. Little did I know that I wouldn't see him after school, those would be the last words he ever said to me, and that would be the last kiss I ever got. It was a normal day at school, and after school I went out with my grandma, his mom. We went to a water park. On our way back to a water park we got a call from my mom who just got home from work around then. She said " take them to their other grandma's." So we went there, and about 2 hours later my mom comes over and says "I have some bad news." And she started tearing up, then she said, "your father passed away." I lost it, but i asked "how?" She said "he took his own life." i didn't step foot in my house for a week. The last time I saw him was at the funeral. Now he sits as ashes in my moms closet. I'm 13 now, 14 on October 17, and to this day I'm still depressed😳

My grandfather passed away when I was 6 months old from pancreatic cancer, and my mom's parents, who I barely knew died as well, one from brain cancer and the other from natural causes. I only have my 80 year old grandmother who I'm going to visit tomorrow and I'm very close with her. I also worry about my regular family. My mom almost died 6 years ago from Crohn's Disease and she survived from surgery. I remember the times she was in the hospital. I was living in North Jersey during 9/11, my dad was suppose to go to the WTC that day but my mom was sick from the disease and he couldn't go. I pray for you Damian and for your family.

Also it's great that even with things like this happening in your life you still try to make everybody laugh. You are great at what you do. YOU have been given by the hand of Christ the ability to really feel the hand of love upon your heart. My dad passed away, I completely lost it. Really. I had to be put into a hospital and have meds. to this day. This process will take time. Time different for each person. But, if you believe, he is in a better place. The closest I've come to dealing with death is I lost my dog in September 2011. I realize it can't compare with the loss of a father figure, however to me animals are like best friends. I had that dog from when I was four years old, to when I was almost fifteen. That dog and I grew up together, and to lose someone who was there to cuddle whenever I had a bad day meant more to me than I can say. I sincerely hope that things get better for you Damian. Not capable of watching this right now, but try to think of it this way - even tho your stepfather passed away he still lives on with you being the person you are today or might even become in the future since you shared so much time together. So whenever someone meets you they also get to partially experience the person that was your stepfather. Having that view on life helped me cope with the loss of former fiance and very good friend when she was murdered.

I know it was 3 years ago but I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my grandmother when I was 14. She died of colon cancer at 57. I was doing my best to stay strong but even then it was still hard on my family and me. Every once and a while I'll have dreams where it involves me being at my grandma's house but the feeling in the dream is not the same as it was when she was still living. But I just tell myself all the time that she's in a better place. I do miss her, though. I'm just saying that I can relate to you, too. Stay strong and positive Damian. I know that this happened almost five years ago but just seeing the amount of stress and sadness in his eyes made me cry., I know what he felt because my grandfather (he was very close to me) passed away a few months ago and it hurt me so freaking much. Damian, just remember that all of your subs are there for you. We would never let you down. We are all like a big family. Im sure that he was a wonderful person, but always remember that he is smiling down at you, and is very happy with the amount of work you have done towards your career. From: Leeah

i understand what your are going through cause i lost my grandfather about 4 years ago and he was a father figure to me. it was a big scar in my family when he past away.. so though 2 years have pasted, just think about the good times and the good memories... keep on going strong Damian..
