It's simple, Normal Mode raids should not ever have any mechanics where one person can wipe the whole fucking raid. It's incredibly stupid and I remember horribly anxiety provoking. Save that shit for Hard Mode.

Lost ark is pretty much a raid/daily simulator with nothing to offer outside of that after you’ve done the 1 time horizontal stuff. Which kinda sucks tbh cuz the combat and raid design is amazing in my opinion but is held back horrendously by to many systems that you have to keep up with on multiple characters. Ik people say you don’t have to play 6 characters but you kinda do. If I cut out 5 of my characters that’s close to 90+k of gold and tradeable mats from daily’s a week. And considering honing for akkan gear is now 1k+ per taps u can’t skip out on alts unless ur a whale or dolphin. It’s a big reason I only hell raid now since I don’t have to keep up with any mandatory “fun”. I play when I want when I want without worry

IMO one thing smilegate can do is use the story dungeons, up the difficult a bit, and give some of the raid loot (like 7 dungeons a week = 1 normal raid drop) so if someone wants to progress out of the raids until complete set, he will have to grind the whole week on dungeons

All they need to do is remove wiping mechanics in normal mode, thats less complicated, tiresome and allows people to learn raids or casual grind them with many characters. It also would help a lot with toxicity and gatekeeping. Your idea just implies more time spent in the game which is a awful already

There should be a mode where people can teach new players about certain raid and they get rewarded for doing so. (I think most mobile mmo have this thing)

They won't teach them jack shit. They will bus them telling them to take off gear and cash in the rewards. That is what they do already except the rewards the mokokos have to pay. If you want people to teach the raids you need to make guilds region wide and completely rework the guild system to incentivise big guilds, that are welcoming to players. Make the gold rewards way bigger and autospread them among the active community instead of having one guild lead per server cash in. It shouldnt be a competition among guilds, to maybe get 20k gold for the guild lead and every other guild gets shit. It should be a simple participation reward. That would also allow for rowen style content to work as gvg as guilds would be big.

Lost Ark = cancer raid simulator. I have 1700 hours in the game and I desperately want to come back to it, but they need to add different endgame contents for progression. I hate the raids. But I love everything else. Literally. I dont even care about the p2w stuff. I love chaos, guardians. towers, cubes, alts doing the same. I love it. But I hate the raids cuz they give me anxiety. A massive one. And I need to do it or bus for the materials... just plz make something easier, give us ten times less materials for progression, I dont care, just give us a way to progress outside raids. If this happens, I'm coming back without a question.

I've always been telling everyone, since I took many breaks, I spread out my resources because I just want to play more classes. Doing the same raids on the same classes without meta shakeup or meaningful class changes is boring, and I feel like playing different things. Lost Ark has been about classes for a long time now.

For me that kills the game, I want to have one main and that's it. I don't care for most of my roster, doing the same raids on different classes literally made me quit. If you don't play 6 characters you don't progress as fast,has little access to gold and rng rewards, and on top of that, other 6 players characters don't want you in their static. You're either replaced or pressured like crazy to add more characters.

@@jamzbraz still possible to progress with just 1-2 characters. but yea it depends on the player on how they want to interact with a game. Lost Ark's classes are all quite diverse and interesting to play. even with mmorpgs that let you play "all" classes on 1 character, you are still time gated to gear them up for any endgame raids, if you actually care about endgame stuff. or be like WoW where it is possible to get your full BiS gear in 3-4 months, basically as long as it takes to gear up your main in Lost Ark haha.

The game is completely unplayable as new or returning player , no matter how many artificial boosts they shove up your ass, if you don t have a group, you cannot do any content..you either buy busses or die in lobbies waiting to be accepted(wich is not happening cuz you don t have titles, los klc or whatever the fuck they gatekeeping you with ) or die waiting for supports or people willing to learn in your own lobby, and you can t really buy busses non stop cuz you cannot make any gold in the first place.

you dont need too many alts anymore , u can have like 3 or 2 characters , finish most of ur stuff within a day or 2 max , and still have so much time to play other games , i had the same issue before where i quit because it was time consuming but the changes they did fixed alot of that , so its very much playable for casuals now

With rest dailies take less than 1h now with the changes. And raids do at your pace no need to do 5h of raids in one trait. I play 3h/day even less and still get all dailies and raid done for my roster 6

To be honest dailies are the 1° i stopped playing, dedicating so much time every fucking day for 1 game is just not my thing, the 2° reason is gatekeeping, i wanted to go to raids, but i couldn't find any that would accept me

I believe the honing, content FOMO and raid design are done to drive profits. There's nothing about it that's good for the long-term health of the game.

for the whole raid learning thing, make the rehearsal thing repeatable, I never touched it, even if I'd like to help people... I'm locked out after my own clears. If rehearsal has no instant deaths from failing mechanics and is repeatable, people would have a environment to practice the raids no?

Idk how is the rehearsal for brel, but for kuku isnt great, bc part of the mechs are just not there. Sure u get the marios, but the simplified iron lady staggers its an issue for whn you need to do it for real.

Agree with Stoopz, raids and hardmode content should always be optional rather than gatekeeping your progression. I've played WoW since vanilla and never mythic raid nor need to, I don't find it enjoyable at all. I played Lost Ark on launch for a month and absolutely loved the game until I got to the endgame which was just honing and raiding so I quit. The game is absolutely incredible, I feel like the pay2win and hardcore raid thing really limits the audience but I guess they make all their money from whales and are happy with it.

People really need to rename their obsolete guide videos for brel lol Lost ark raids need more tools for accessibility because the raids in Lost Ark are so extremely different than other casual MMO raids. FFXIV normal raids/ LFR wow raids/ Gw2 fractals. In most other MMO's the most basic places to get gear usually aren't so difficult enough to require guides like Lost Ark normal difficulty raids.

For me classes and the combat. I actually mostly dislike the raids with how much the bosses move and spin around out of your moves, ESPECIALLY on back/front attack classes holy shit.

i played LA on launch even though i have 200ms since i live in Asia but i played a gave 900hrs have all my character on same ilvl but when the raids came out the ping matters alot for me it wass unbearable for me so i quit, really hope the mobile version they are making will come to Asia or im gonna lose my shit for real as for alts and trying out new class they need to look at what BDO has with the gear tagging and now they even have exp on their tag system so you can tag your character with your gear even at lowlvl and play it or you can use your main and share exp on your alt which takes about 15mins to hit lvl60 yeah the biggest gate keep is having raids the only way to progress the game

RNG is why I quit the game. I really love it but every time I debate going back then I remember the struggles of upgrading. I didn't want to swipe so I would spend hours to grind for upgrade mats just to get a few upgrade tries per week and fail most of all of them. Not sure whether gathering mats has become easier since I've played as it's been a while but I can imagine a lot of people left because of it.

It's so annoying that u basically cannot play the game if u don't spend real money to progress to highest gs atm no one is gonna accept u into groups. No one is doing lower tier content, game just feels dead if u don't open yr wallet and do weekly resets. I quit back in Argos release since I completed all the side content, all that was left was rapport NPC and u can't grind that, it's limited af. (I quit because I was fully F2P player and I simply realized that game doesn't respect yr grind, game only respects yr wallet. I got tired of ppl that are insanely above me in GS are destroying my raids cuz they keep failing mechanics 24/7, we all know how they reached that GS.) I came back couple days ago and there is basically nothing to do, ppl still fail like crazy in raids, like bro u've been doing this thing for almost 2 years, yr almost 200gs above me, how the hell are u failing the raid over and over again. As much as I love the game, I just have to admit that it's in a really bad state and it ain't worth your time.

The actual gameplay was fun... BUT... the game forces you into a ton of BS to experience/unlock the fun parts. The game plays like a mobile game. The daily checklists were too much. Timed Card Vendors, NPC rep grinds, p2w progression, managing your estate, blah blah blah... Fffff all that. Zero desire to come back.

I spent exactly over +3800 hours enjoying this game. This game has the potential to be better than it is now. However, raids are too difficult and are more problematic because raids are one of the key content in this game. Imagine that it takes an average of 15-20 minutes to get through the boring Phase 1 section. Think of it as having to start all over again with the death of one player. My personal opinion is that developers need to reduce the overall difficulty of raids. Developers should encourage more players to enjoy the raid and lower the difficulty level. This is because there is a separate hard mode for players who are very challenging and enjoy difficulties. The difficulty of Raids now is too much and requires a lot of time and stress. It's a pity that developers seem to think deeply about how to make the difficulty of the next raid more difficult than it is now. What's the point if no matter how cool a raid has a design and rewards, the players who enjoy it and clear it are less than 10% within the server?

D1 and D2 made my childhood (my opinion, its the best story in gaming history)but now its not worth it
