Read this before commenting! Trixion is not representative of real raid conditions. This video is to mark my progression in the game and to serve as a data point for other Reflux and Igniter players. Do not use this video to argue which engraving is stronger - both have their pros and cons. Timestamps: Reflux: 0:00 Igniter: 3:08 ------------------- Reflux FAQ: ------------------- Q: What's the best +1 for Reflux? A: Cursed Doll 3 + Adrenaline 1 is the highest ceiling. I run Adrenaline 3 + Raid Captain 1 because my Crit is pretty low due to my bracelet. Other alternatives are Ether Predator 1 and Disrespect 1. Q: Why do you have a cooldown gem on Blaze? A: Personal preference - it makes Blaze and Reverse Gravity line up better and the rotation feels better. You can allocate it to Seraphic Hail, Punishing Strike, or Explosion based on your preference. Q: Why did you switch off Doomsday? A: During Kayangel prog it felt too clunky and slow so I switched to this build and it feels a lot better overall. Q: Why do you add Max MP Increase 3 and Spirit Absorption 2? A: This is to simulate support mana buffs and the Swamp of Yearning set effect. Q: Why are you using Elegian's Touch? A: It helps you stay in Boundless MP longer. Replace this skill with counter for fights that require one. ------------------- Igniter FAQ: ------------------- Q: What's better, Hallucination or Nightmare? A: Hallucination is more consistent but has a lower ceiling. Nightmare is less consistent but has a higher ceiling. I run Hallucination since not critting makes me want to uninstall. Q: Are you swapping back to Cursed Doll after the buff? A: Yes, KBW only becomes efficient at 85%+ crit rate now. Also, getting KBW'd on a Doomsday (like at 5:01) makes me want to uninstall. Q: What engravings would you use on Nightmare? A: Igniter, Grudge, All Out Attack, Hit Master, Adrenaline, Ether Predator 1. This changes when elixirs get added since there is a crit rate set effect. This also changes if you have a 9/7 adrenaline stone. Ignore this if you play with multiple crit synergies. Q: Reverse Gravity on Igniter? A: Yes, it does good damage and builds meter fast. Q: I thought you were supposed to use that with Nightmare to cycle Igniter faster? A: You can, but you can also just use it with Hallucination for better meter generation. Q: How does Nightmare Reverse Gravity work? A: Check out Legalia's video on it, or my video on it. Q: How does this compare to double Inferno? A: Your stagger/destruction capabilities are lower, you have to play in melee range, if the boss moves it's smoge, but you cycle Igniter faster. You also pretty much need to run mana food. Q: Can you explain some tripod and rune choices? A: Stackable blaze for easier Adrenaline stacking and more consistent synergy. Galewind on RA to make DD>RA cancelling more reliable and consistent. Ignite on EX for more damage. Wide Angle Attack on PS to make it easier to land. These are all personal preference and can be changed. Q: Why do you delay your Igniter sometimes? A: I tried to simulate a more realistic scenario where you would likely have to use EX and PS for meter gain and waiting for a good pattern to ignite on. Thanks for watching!

When you say KBW is only efficient at 85% crit rate now, do you mean on sorc in general? The table I looked at allows for a lot lower crit on the class I play. Good video though, makes me question whether igniter is worth running over reflux at this point.

When you meant "This changes when elixirs get added since there is a crit rate set effect" do you mean that the engravings of 5x3+1 would change when elixir releases? If so, what do people use for NM when elixir releases for NM sorc.

@@FlauntingAbyss0 At 255% crit damage KBW is worth 16% only around 87.5% crit. This only applies to Igniter since the engraving gives +55% crit damage after the patch.

@@wenzhou349 Yeah you'll see most run cd3 + adr1 and pray for crits. If you're playing Nightmare I believe the math says adr3 + ep1 is more consistent assuming you can maintain adrenaline reliably. With a 9/7 you always go Adrenaline 2.

Reflux looks to be like Re Blade, u always have to press something and everything needs 2 land but in real raid scenarios boss won't be letting u do that hence y ppl think reflux sorc = smoge DPS when it's just boss moving and mechs.

just change to Reflux since i got a 10/6 stone. A little bit lower dps on under gear raid but feel much better on new raid. And the best thing is I'm no longer smash keyboard after missing a doomdays 😂

Hi after i watched ur video, i saw u dont run counter skill for igniter sorc so if i have to put counter, which skill would u drop for counter skill? And also did u recommend KBW or CD if i played hallu with 1 adre?

Drop esoteric reaction or reverse gravity. After the patch CD is better unless you have a crit synergy.

@@arcfaire and also 1800+ crit is a must for reflux? I was thinking to go CD 3 with adre 1 but i m calculating my crit which is i will have 1730-1760 in between. Would u suggest i should go adre 3 n ep 1 instead of cd 3 n adre1 since i dont have 1800 crit?

What do you think about running Grudge, Igniter, Hit Master, Adrenaline, AoA and Ether P as a +1 after the changes instead of running CD, I’m trying to figure out a +1 for her and I was waiting to know if they were actually gonna change her or not 🥲 Also when you have to run squall, do you feel a meter/dps loss? Do you Change to blaze lvl 10 or frostcall? and how do you adjust your rotation to not lose adrenaline stacks and not waste your counter just for meter gen.

Yeah, adr3 + ep1 is fine. You have to really focus on making sure you have 6 adrenaline stacks when igniting. Cursed Doll has a higher ceiling and is better when you have crit synergy. I take skill points off Frost's Call and take Squall to 4 with Quick Prep 5, lowering Frost's Call's middle tripod to 1. Meter generation and damage are noticeably lower. Don't use Frost's Call in Igniter, only for meter generation. Space out your skills to maintain adrenaline - it's easier with squall.

I didnt know reflux is that strong ^^ My Taijutsu Scrapper is about as geared as your sorc (1605 with full lv 9dmg and lv 10 cd) and does between 15-15,5m as an entropie class xD

i mean this check shows a lot i mean ppl here says in raid its different how come? bard buff? reflux will get thos buffs aswell and lets not forget that igniter sorces its a lot more harder to play then spam keys on reflux that mean that igniter can even do less dmg its hella bad cuz Burst dmg allways need to have a big different from consistent dmg cuz burst can mass up a lot more.. + harder to play igniter Sorceress need balance fast they only way to enjoy that char gems 10 or not its not matter you need good bard with you that play around you when u start iginting if not u barely got crit so this class rely a lot on synergy so its Sad story for this class.. playing Hulu will lower ur celling a lot and its kinda bad... so balance soon as possible...

Take Akkan Gate 3 as an example - Igniter can burst to 200x, gain meter back during the stagger, burst to 160x, gain meter, burst to 140x, etc. Because raids have downtime, Reflux DPS is significantly lower than Trixion where you can hit 100%. You also won't be able to maintain Boundless MP 100% in a raid. On the topic of buffs/atropine, while any DPS benefits, Igniter significantly benefits from short duration buffs since they do a majority of their damage in a short window. I can do 161m in 10s as Reflux, but 336m in 10s as Igniter. It's not even a competition.

4:49 - 5:38: Why are you sending your explosion and punishing before igniter instead of waiting for gravity -> FC to be up? You're making explo and ps be off cd at the end part of ignite when you're gonna be busy with grav - dd - eso already and sometimes they overlap making you decide which spell not to use. Also I dont send the last rime arrow you use so i can send another ignition the very second dd comes off cd but seeing you have blue qual accs maybe you do need that extra skill for gauge.

Here's a rotation where I don't use EX or PS for meter gain: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKuTZph4Zp1raZY Upgrading to 1800 specialization adds ~1.5% meter gain which does not make a significant difference. If you're confident the boss will be in a good spot to ignite right when you fill meter then sure, but I usually wait for a mechanic after my meter fills in a raid to ignite, so sending the rime arrow doesn't matter. You're also likely to miss some meter generation so better safe than sorry.

What? You watched the video and still made this comment? He did it so he didn’t need to use rime/eso and be forced to wait for them before igniting. Since you get the half cd off, it’s only a bad idea if they are the last 2 skills that generate your mana, and even then it isn’t that bad. If you’re in a situation where all 3 comes off cd around the same time, you punishing strike? doomsday, then fill explosion before the doomsday lands. This way, everything still lands. The real reason you’d want to avoid that specific scenario is bc you run the risk of missing buffs if all 3 of your skills are spread out like that. Not because of what you suggested

Was this reflux parse a lucky one or can you do it consistently? I have pretty much the same gear and i have a hard time to get the same result (even when adjusting raid captain to +2 for simulating your better braclet).

With good ping and Yearning 3 (+12% attack speed) you can barely pull it off without galewind, but having galewind makes it trivial. I do it with Yearning 1 (+8% attack speed) in this video pretty consistently. This does hurt your meter generation, but reverse gravity igniter has a pretty good surplus of generation to allow for this.

I installed exactly the same build (reflux) and character settings as yours (moreover, I installed full 10th gems), but my damage is 25% less than yours (1.5kk). I can't understand why. My damage per second is ~13k. Could there be such a difference in damage due to ping? My ping is 110

After this recent PTR notes on korea i'm ditching my critflux sorc ;( No love for a class that's so reliant on uptime.. i keep getting screwed by cinematics and drop boundless, then when i finally get boundless again BOOM another mechanic/gimmick etc.. unplayable! obviously this is because i'm not Akkan level player so i'm not doing "current" content really since i'm stuck 1550 so whenever i do Brel 1-4 or kayangels its horrendous! got a friend who is using the illegal dps meter and it's laughable the numbers i do when MAINLY i'm not doing anything wrong uptimewise! Just gimped heavily by gimmicks/cinematics! Screw the nightmare set

Also reverse gravity is such a trap most of the time, only get reliable damage from it on brel g3 (for obvious reasons) If the DPS from sorc was atleast a little bit better DESPITE these things i'd probably enjoy it still, but for now i might aswell just go Pistoleer deadeye which plays literally the same (Melee positioned and spammy) but deals almost DOUBLE dps and doesn't have ANY Nightmare set gimmick...
