It is actually well known through the industry that neither Cory had any real adult acting chops (skills). Neither actor was really known for a level of maturity, humility, intelligence or sophistication that most accomplished people are going to appreciate. But these three attributes are usually the first affected by the abnormal development a child actor may suffer.

Absolutely sickening now that the truth is out:( RIP Corey
@auntiem8734 жыл бұрын
It was not an inappropriate interview. A.H. Said what anyone would say to a kid as well as the person who was there to push a movie. The fact that he took time to talk to him instead of just running over him to keep up the timing speaks for itself. A.H. Knew he said something wrong in the comment “did someone hold you down?”. He saw how much that upset C.H. And tried to talk about things someone his age would be doing. Driving, girlfriend, trying to hook him up. He noticed none of that was working so he focused on the magazine articles. To me that says A.H. Was in tune with his guest. He tried to make him feel comfortable. It doesn’t always work but he tried.

@@auntiem873 thank you! Arsenio started out with rehearsed material from his producers and once he realized that Corey was uncomfortable he changed the course of the interview. You can see him studying Corey's body language and changing topics at the same time. They had an interview together after this one, and Arsenio was a completely different interviewer...and, I think, in that interview, he was interviewing Corey on his own terms. He was so much more calm...there were no random inappropriate jokes. People need to realize that, most of the time, interviewers are just frontman...they are given a script to read/questions to ask... Not to make this a race thing, but, usually interviewers of color are given the most controversial questions to ask during interviews and receive the most backlash for it (i.e. most recently, Gayle King). In the beginning, what a lot of those people of color didn't realize was that the show was THEIRS. They didn't have to go off of the script of questions given to them. Those host's should have had full control over their own shows...and when they tried to take control, their shows were cut...

What a great actor and a sad loss. His best films were. Stephen King's, Silver Bullet. And the coolest Vampire flick around, The Lost Boys.

@@strwbrybabyg245 Racist? For what? Implying that no talent Arsenio got the job only because he was black? I can't see any other reason they gave him his own show because he sure as hell isn't compelling, charismatic, or funny.
