It is actually well known through the industry that neither Cory had any real adult acting chops (skills). Neither actor was really known for a level of maturity, humility, intelligence or sophistication that most accomplished people are going to appreciate. But these three attributes are usually the first affected by the abnormal development a child actor may suffer.

I just watched a documentary on Corey and one of the directors was talking about how when he was only like 11-12yrs old everyone referred to him as "Mr. Haim" and how the "rules" of being a kid didn't apply to him, bc of the star he was. Absolutely sickening now that the truth is out:( RIP Corey
@auntiem873

It was not an inappropriate interview. A.H. Said what anyone would say to a kid as well as the person who was there to push a movie. The fact that he took time to talk to him instead of just running over him to keep up the timing speaks for itself. A.H. Knew he said something wrong in the comment “did someone hold you down?”. He saw how much that upset C.H. And tried to talk about things someone his age would be doing. Driving, girlfriend, trying to hook him up. He noticed none of that was working so he focused on the magazine articles. To me that says A.H. Was in tune with his guest. He tried to make him feel comfortable. It doesn’t always work but he tried.

@@auntiem873 thank you! Arsenio started out with rehearsed material from his producers and once he realized that Corey was uncomfortable he changed the course of the interview. You can see him studying Corey's body language and changing topics at the same time. They had an interview together after this one, and Arsenio was a completely different interviewer...and, I think, in that interview, he was interviewing Corey on his own terms. He was so much more calm...there were no random inappropriate jokes. People need to realize that, most of the time, interviewers are just frontman...they are given a script to read/questions to ask... Not to make this a race thing, but, usually interviewers of color are given the most controversial questions to ask during interviews and receive the most backlash for it (i.e. most recently, Gayle King). In the beginning, what a lot of those people of color didn't realize was that the show was THEIRS. They didn't have to go off of the script of questions given to them. Those host's should have had full control over their own shows...and when they tried to take control, their shows were cut...

I always hated that E True Hollywood Story they did on him when he was going through some of his roughest times. But, it really taught me to put things in perspective. It made me truly happy for the meager home studio I had at the time and reminded me not to take it for granted.

He didn't mean the year 2020. 20/20 was a teenage club back in the day, so he meant that he's seen him and Feldman hanging out in the club. That's why Haim later says "that's why I'm hanging out in 20/20," referring to being single. But if you hear Feldman talk about that club today, he says it was run by a pedophile who used to molest them and other young boys at the time. So sad :(

The more I see the more I realise just how extensively the media sensationalized poor Corey. He was often portrayed as a prolific ladies man, party goer and rogue even at this young age when it seems actually he was a pretty normal boy still spending most of his time with his family. I'm sure he got a lot of female attention but he certainly doesn't come across how the media liked to portray him. Such a sad loss of a wonderful young person 😭

Dream a little dream was my favorite of theirs and the red hair look was my favorite of Corey's...I thought it suited him wonderfully...what a sweet kid he was...i wish I could go back in a time machine and save this poor kid from a life of mental torture that led to drug use..RIP Corey Haim, thank u for the memories 💕

I feel so bad that his life was cut short( his mom insists it was not suicide,but a heart condition. Feldman treated him horribly. He should be ashamed,acting like he was Haim's friend:no friend would be so jealous,friends lift their friend's spirits,not set up a reality show to hurt them.

@Pine Barron Dude I disagree. What I am absolutely choosing to compare is the star appeal and boyish charm of both. Also, I don't know what you're remembering as classic films but dream a little dream and license to drive are pretty cheesy and are quite comparable to "baby" and "sorry " lastly, justin's ownership and submission to Christ has proved to be a legendary transformation all its own. In my humble opinion
@glowuplife

@Pine Barron Dude ace of base was awesome, friends? Never seen an episode. Listen i love Corey but justin is a force in his own right. Respect truth to power. Cult classics and international super stardom are two totally different conversations. Apples and oranges

@Pine Barron Dude listen, i loved Corey haim but he wasn't in goonies, stand by me or gremlins. I know plenty of justin catalogue and he not only sings and dances, he plays drums and piano. He knows how to compose. Im not some freaking 12 year old here. Im a culture commentator and enthusiast
