try practicing at the mega skate park to get down directions with some of the basic tricks - front and backwards flips, because sideways flips will fuck you up on the course. You don't need to be fancy. When you race, focus on shortcuts rather than tricks. You just want to get to first place ASAP, and you stay there by not wiping out. If you do like Game Tips did and stay on your board, the race is pretty much easy. But doing a few tricks and not wiping out immediately is vital, but you don't need to tear up the racetrack to win.

There seems to be extra weight to spyro along with not gaining as much height from ramps. This is unfortunate as obstacles and item do not seem to account for the inaccuracies but what to expect.

Is it just me or has anybody else experienced an npc bumping into you from behind and sending you flying so fast that no one else can catch up for the rest of the race. Seriously, I'm beginning to suspect that being rear ended and shot forward by another racer is a better way to gain speed than everything else.

Looks like the goal to winning the race is not going on any ramps just use that moment you jump across the acid to build up speed
