Thank you, I am already a subscriber and didn’t even think about trying this. I lost mine in a flight after doing lots of shots in the airplane, I realised it was missing in the terminal. Will give it a go now.

I have a similar issue with GoPro but without the same happy result. My Media Mod latch broke off when opening it one day recently (over Xmas holidays) and so I called GoPro. They told me the same story as you... we will give you a whole new Media Mod for free this time but it is out of the goodness of our hearts and only this ONE time. Okay. I wait, and wait... after 2 more calls it finally arrives... but with NO windscreen! They had told me I had to send them back my broken one and I had included the windscreen with it as I thought they would send me the whole thing back. Wrong! So now I have a new Media Mod (thank you GoPro) but no windscreen. This really leaves a sour taste in my mouth and I have been a big GoPro user and purchaser since the Hero2. I am guessing I will just have to make one. It took 3 weeks to get the replacement Media Mod due to a defect in the latch.

That’s unbelievable, GoPro has been great but this issue with the media mod to get any parts for it replaced is just beyond me. Sorry this happened to you, did you reach out again to them and tell them what you just told me? I’m curious to see what the end result will be for you. I’m sure they will send you a windscreen replacement after you sent your windscreen to them. If they don’t then yes you’re going to have to DIY one but I’m sure they will take care of you. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Mines all ripped up from bad bag packing skills and I asked them today how much for a replacement? They just asked for proof of purchase and sent me one out for free. I was very happy with that.

you can actually fix it the ghetto way for $5 as well, just buy some screen mid foam windscreen and tape them around the media mod mic.

I’m sorry to hear that!! Unfortunately they do not which is mind blowing 🤯 Are you a GoPro monthly member? I’d try doing what I did, it worked for me. Just to be safe though subscribe to the membership, it’s like $5 usd and then start the claim. Once you receive it, cancel the membership if you don’t want it.

Gopro has no customer service. Moving to dji drone and as far as I can away from gopro. Lost the foam as well. Last year for gopro subscription and don't want to see this brand again.

You were lucky. I have a subscription - for a couple of years. I can't even get them to ANSWER a query - any query - let alone get anything from them. Nor will they answer questions on their Facebook page. I too love GoPro stuff; but, unfortunately, their customer service is a complete joke.. none existent.
