In the film the Security Guard says, "You can't come in the Casino dressed like that". Albert Brooks (David) replies, "I saw the Electric Horseman, an animal road through here with lights on it". 😂🤣😂 FYI, the ELECTRIC HORSEMAN was a popular movie in the late 70's with Robert Redford and Jane Fonda. You have to have seen it to get that joke....obviously.

Oh boy. To this day one of the funniest scenes of any comedy from the ‘80s. Right up there with Austin Pendleton as the stuttering lawyer in My Cousin Vinnie. Garty Marshall’s progression here is just so brilliant. He finds Brooks audacious enough to hold his interest, he admits “you make me laugh” in a very nice way, he seems to enjoy the Miracle on 34th st debate, but when it becomes obvious Brooks is just going to keep trying way past the point it’s cute anymore, he’s done! Acting schools should show Marshall’s performance to their students, just brilliant!
