I came here for sleep, but it ended up being so much more as I burst into tears... I have struggled with anxiety for years and in 2021 I have gone through the loss of my father from cancer and the loss of my wife through a terrible divorce. This music made me feel alive and hopeful, and reading the comments made me feel not alone. My love goes out to anyone else finding themselves here with sorrows in their hearts. I really have to get this off of my chest now. Every Lo-fi channel no matter if it is big or small, but especially Dreamhop have an absolutely amazing selection of art work. For very visual people, simply looking at a carefully selected wallpaper that fits the vibe is just 10/10. For me the wallpaper is always finishing the touch of a very relaxing playlist. When I was a kid around 10, we lived in the suburbs. Every summer we would go to my uncle's farm. We call it a farm but he doesn't really grow anything substantial, just a few vegetables for personal comsumption, it's just a family chill spot. The place kinda looked like the one in the artwork. On sunny days I would walk over the raised platforms over the marshes and through the tall grass. there was a pond where some fresh water fish and turtles lived. No idea how they got there. I would just bring a loaf of bread and feed them while I had a book to read under the shade of the tree by the pond. It was a book called 'a thousand and one nights' by John Payne. I would be there all morning and late afternoon. Thirty years later and the place isn't like how it used to look. Land developers made a truck stop on the other properties nearby. The marshes got drained. the fish and turtles are gone. This video just reminded me about my childhood and all those carefree days. If I could have one more day back then with my old book? I would be content...

NO firkin WAY! so that scene is similar to where i use to live back in Wisconsin, USA. we lived near Canada and had these "nature trails" all over local parks so people could take strolls around the beauty of the woods. so there were allot of ponds, marshes and flower beds that DNR label "no tress passing" to keep the beauty of the area alive. and this picture looks like one area i would always go as a kid to catch frogs, toads, snakes and minnows. Oh man. this brought a tear to a 35 yr vet.
