Great Job!!! Every Wednesday night, LIS would be on when I was a kid, and never missed an episode. Every Christmas, I would ask for the newest LIS toys that Santa could bring(and afford at the time), out of the Sears and Robuck catalog, I remember folding the pages so the folks would remember to tell Santa. You sir, have taken alot of us older folks, back to when we were 10 again. Many thanks!

You've not only done an astonishingly magnificent job in recreating the highly complex, finely engineered costume construction resultant from the unique marriage of talent that was Robert Kinoshita and the staff of the mill shop at 20th Century Fox Television, but just in this footage of your "maiden voyage" as it were, you exhibit an uncanny knack by way of your exceptionally coor

Awesome! When you say B-9, it sounds a lot like the word, benign, which means gentle, kind. I always wondered when they gave the robot that model number if there was any correlation with the word benign or just coincidence.

(continued from previous posted comment) -rdinated biomechanical capabilities at capturing the very essence of the heart and soul of the late, great Bob May's portrayal of the Robot. What a profound tribute you have created in honor of that amazingly talented, enthusiastically inspiring, tender-hearted, kind and selfless man! God bless you!!

@michaelhviper I wouldnt say it was harder. But there are so many variables when making a B9. Some make them as a lighted static display, or you can go as far as making it motorized with moving arms, head and treads.

Looks like he was bending ... BELOW the waist somewhere? Was wondering how you constructed it to allow it to do that? I'm starting building my own B9 costume and I guess I just assumed mine wouldn't bend at any point from the feet to the tip. (But then, I haven't reviewed much B9 Lost in Space footage to see if he actually did that on the show. I realize a lot of times they were just showing the actor wearing only the top half of the costume.)
@Hadibah9 жыл бұрын
He did bend at the waist on the show. I have a steel frame inside with a hinge at the top that can be pinned so it wont bend. Contact Craig R in the B9 club. He may still have the plans for frame work. I got mine from him.

Do you still have this costume? Any fun stories about wearing it at conventions or the like? If I had one, and could fit inside it, I'd set it up outside on Halloween (or maybe on the porch), all the kids would think it was just a prop, and then when they up for a closer look, I'd pop out the arms. :)
