Oooo! I really like this one. One of the world's most enduring mysteries. You've done an incredible and comprehensive job relaying this story. The photos and videos are eye candy. Multiple views a must. Thanks Pinnso! Meladyets!

Very fascinating. I really enjoy tales of those who search for gold, El Dorado or become lost in the jungles of South America.

Any one thing could've happened out there, the Amazon is their memorial. Still him not wanting rescue expeditions knowing the sheer danger is heartwarming in it's own way. I'm inclined to believe the tribe's account, especially with another hostile tribe nearby.

I actually got lost in the Amazon once. Fortunately, we found a creek that I was pretty sure was the same creek as the one next to camp. No creek, and we'd all still be there.

Morbid as it might be I kinda hope that if/when someone ever reaches and surveys that city they come across the body of a European man dressed in explorer's clothes. It'd be a nice bit a closure and a big W for Fawcett.

Getting a disease in the jungle? Or bitten by something poisonous? That sounds pretty reasonable.

Ah, Percy! This guy was an obvious master of the jungle and understanding the thoughts of women "you need not fear of any failure"🤣😂😂🤣🤣 Well, I wouldn't want to suggest his pasty pipe smoking ass was a bit overconfident, but....😂🤣🤣😂😂
