Oh, Barbara! This comment made me and Hubby laugh our asses off. Delightful gentle sarcasm is just what we needed today. Thank you! 🤗🥰🤣 Yes, my secret is out. I was never too far from safety. But I have some pretty serious limitations, so although I don't climb actual mountains or explore dense jungles, I feel that as long as I maintain an intrepid and manly attitude (and avoid the cosy cafes) I can still visit these places and call it an adventure. 😁 And until Vanlife, I spent the previous 20 years housebound and hermit-like. So this is actually quite a huge thing for me! 😊👍 I love your feedback each week, and think of you often while filming. You're one of the core viewers whose opinion really matters, so thank you for putting ME in a better mental space. I had a horrible experience today during filming, and you just cheered me right up. 😘x

Newark Castle should up their game, clearly they need to add some directions and guidance. Hooray for bin men for helping you. I loved the footage with greensleeves playing in the background, beautiful! At least you got to admire the castle from a distance 😀 Robin Hood Theatre, leafy trees, idyllic countryside - and a nuclear reactor 😆 Amusing juxtaposition. Fortunately it didn't melt down. You are not a pompous patronizing twit!! "You have arrived" - at a blocked road xD Very helpful, Google Maps. Barnby in the Willows sounds lovely, indeed. It was nice to see those old camping photos, it is always nice to hear about your past experiences. Hill Holt Wood seemed fine until it revealed its confused pseudo-roman Disney identity. I would find that lack of signposting really frustrating. "Ouch ouch sweat in my eyes" very intrepid 😊 Hooray you found a car park in the end!

My sensory processing issues have been worse lately so I've taken to using the autogenerated subtitles with all KZbin videos I watch (I always turned on subtitles already when watching ie. a TV show with a DVD or on Netflix etc.). I hate how KZbin's autogenerated subtitles pop up one word at a time, and sometimes it gets things wrong, but I need it sometimes to help me process and also for when my attention drifts so I find it helpful. It's a shame real life doesn't have subtitles as I could sometimes do with them :P. Especially if it's an unexpected conversation ie outside or in a noisier place. Interesting. In the area of subtitles we seem to differ a lot then. I can't bear them. They destroy any immersion I can get from a movie, and they prevent me from seeing the images properly in any other form, like documentary for example. I'd rather not hear or understand the dialogue than miss the visuals or lose immersion. But I'm a very slow reader, and can't decipher them just at a glance, so subtitles require more attention from me than the average viewer. Anyway, yes, I'm doing well, thank you. Wow what's the point of having a castle if nobody can bloody find it?? Aww love the camping nostalgia. LMAO KFC, I do the same thing. My friend moved to a farm, and anytime she shoes me the lambs I'm like "WHEN ARE WE GONNA EAT THEM??" LOL WHAT IS A KARENS PATCH? Oh no not the wrong car park!! The reason you got lost in Hill Holt Wood (and the reason there are no sign posts etc) is that you shouldn't have been there. Its not public access land. Its a registered charity project providing education to kids with special learning needs and challenging behaviours etc. There's no roman village - its the site of a roman villa (!) that there are plans to excavate in the future.

Ahhhh... LOL! Well, that explains the hostile looks I received too, then. Honestly, there was no signage anywhere telling me that it was private, or that it was anything other than public woodland. There were wide open gates with signs pointing to a car park - which I followed. I never would have gone there if I'd known it was private. (And if anyone had said anything to me, I would have left). Anyway, I have severe enough mental disabilities that I'm sure they wouldn't have minded sharing their woods with me for an hour. Thanks for watching. 😊😊
