Left Laurel in 1998, Have items of possible interest from both the early days of Laurel Cable Network and artifacts including the outdoor signage from the "Turf Club" which once sat on the corner of Caltalpa St. and Route One. Anyone from the museum or "Lost Laurel" interested in featuring these items in an "ON LOAN ONLY" capacity, please feel free to contact me. P.S., That bundle of paperwork from Cook's Hardware which landed on the museum's doorstep years ago, you can also thank me for that. Or Not............ The papers consisting of mostly pink invoices and other internal documents was rescued from the rear of the Cook's building during demolition later in the same day our Channel 10-B cameras took the footage of the crane operator driving a ten ton crane up onto the west front corner of the building oblivious that Cook's had a WOOD FLOOR!!!! All I said to the camera operator was ".......Wait for it, ....Wait for it ......." Great series, way better than the no money crap we cranked out on LCN back in the Nineties!! Good Times!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I meant Tastee-Freeze. Very nice young lady commentator. She should have her own show.

My favorite place in Laurel was the jailhouse. More recently I love the Walmart. Also, the cowboy boot western clothes store is interesting. I miss the Golden Corral, not. No gyros in Laurel, why not? Don't miss the klan meetings and the George Wallace festivals. I do miss the Dairy Queen although it went down hard. Still visit White Oak occasionally.
