Nothing more to say than Giacchino is as great storyteller as Lindelof. In a different spectrum. Again your channel is a treasure. It seriously needs so much more views! The amount of work and time spending dissecting and analyzing the meaning of background music during a scene... And the accuracy of it all. Outstanding work 👏 I did shed few tears while watching this video 😢

Watching this brought me back to the time when your original soundtrack analysis series was in production. I would always look forward to Fridays and learning about another episode's musical journey. Outstanding video, as always!

Same - I cry with excitement every time it plays during a helicopter scene (like at 1:06). 😜

Life and Death + Character's Theme is my weakness. Although since you didn't mention it here, am I wrong to think that "The Incident" contains Life and Death + Juliet's Theme? Also random question: where did you get the un-subtitled scene of Sun at Jin's grave from Ji-Yeon?

"Life and Death" and Juliet's theme do both play during that scene in "The Incident", but the themes are not combined the way the ones in this video are. They don't play at the same time, but the score alternates between them. For the "Ji Yeon" scene, I ended up simply zooming in far enough so the subtitles were cropped out from the bottom of the screen. A remarkably easy solution to a problem I've been dealing with for nearly five years. 😂

@@FringeMusic107 okay makes sense about The Incident. And I wonder if the Korean version of Lost has those subtitles removed?
@FringeMusic1073 ай бұрын
@@MJJMayor Actually, the streaming versions of the show don't have the subtitles either! At least they don't where I'm from. They're not baked into the show, but you can add them in your language of choice via the settings. I've never been able to find a version of that for my videos, though. 😅

@@FringeMusic107 ah interesting! I've actually been watching the Latin American Spanish dub (plus Spanish subtitles) via the US home video release and that leaves the English subtitles for Sun and Jin, etc on the screen

Video is one second too short. Would be dope if it was 15:42
