For me the best moment of the show have to be the "You can't tell me what I can't do" scene from the first season. The actor who played Locke's character was phenomenal. His smile was the best thing about the show.

The actor Terry O'Quinn was phenomenal in the role of John Locke. I think he had been preparing all his life for this role, because it was the role of a lifetime. I know this because I am an actor. The role of Locke is the dream role of any actor. When Locke has the moment of saying "Don't tell me what I can't do!". That is the impulse of so many people in society. I know that it resonated with me, deeply. It touches a chord in many viewers at the end of the day. Also, from the standpoint of the actor Terry O'Quinn, you want to resonate with an audience.. Terry O' Quinn does great in this role!!! His performance inspired me to the point of tears. And that is a good thing because that means that the level of engagement was very high when I watched it. I was so caught up in the moment that I forgot about everything else in my life at the moment!!! 😅

You know the guy who says “Previously on Lost” was the ABC Executive that gave the show the money for a pilot and green lit the first season... he was fired for it being so expensive before it became the most popular must-see show and was proven to have been right about it.

@@brandonbuzz7075 He wasn't just an executive. He was Lloyd Braun, the Chairman of ABC at the time. It was his original idea to create a show along the lines of Tom Hank's "Castaway". So he commissioned Jeffrey Lieber to write a script, which Braun ultimately didn't like. He then turned to JJ Abrams and Damon Lindelof, who both came up with the idea of making the island the mysterious central character of the show. Braun loved it, green-lit it, and the rest is history.

For me mine are 1. The pilot with the aftermath of the crash. 2. Desmond running to press the button and we find out it crashes the plane. 3. When Michael kills Ana Lucia and Libby. 4. When Charlie sacrifices himself in the Looking Glass. 5. When Sawyer finds out Antony Cooper is the real Sawyer and kills him. 6. The whole sequence in Ji Yeon were Sun is having a baby but then reveals that Jin is actually "dead." 7. When we find out that Locke was in a wheelchair but can walk on the island. 8. When Hurley and Charlie get a victory in the dharma van. 9. The opening sequence in season 3 when we discover the Otherville is on the island. 10. And obviously the ending. Beautiful masterpiece. There will be more but this is what I remember that I loved.

@@Becksnnc I’m sorry that you blind yourself to obvious flaws because you can’t handle a show you like falling off the rails. There are so many inconsistencies, ridiculous bullshit and very clear indications that it was all being made up as it went along. Seasons 1-2 were fantastic, season 3 was great but flawed, and after that everything went downhill while still having some redeeming qualities until mid-late season 6. Why don’t you make an actual point instead of just saying my opinion is wrong? It’s almost like you don’t have an actual reason🤔

@@Becksnnc I will say they did the best they could with their lack of planning, and they did a better job than expected at wrapping up some main storylines. He kept telling me what an amazing show it was but, at the time I worked full-time at night. I'm a single mom and there was just no energy for anything else. I didn't even finally watch it until I retired! I was mesmerized by it, I binged watched it and I'm about to watch it again. By far, this is THE best series ever made. J.J. Abrams is the Steven Spielberg of that decade of tv. Wow!!!

People keep saying GoT etc is better. And despite this series was in 2004, I still find it the best ever. The writing, characters, character development - unmatched. But what really separates this show from all the others, is that when it ended, you didn't just leave a show behind. You left a family behind. And that feeling is still unmatched.

Awesome Top 10 video. Since John Locke is my favorite character, I of course fully agree with choosing the clip that revealed his past condition contrasted with the island healing him. But believe it or not, I liked the scene you included with him and Ben outside the church even more. I know you chose it more for Ben. But to me, that scene perfectly shows the kind of person John was. Ben had not only killed him (and made at least one other attempt prior to that), but also did everything he could to humiliate him while alive. And even still, John straight up forgives him for everything, without delay or reservation. And his warm smile in that scene - that's the Locke that I'll always remember. The one that helped Charlie get over his addiction; the one that built a crib with Claire for her baby; the one that helped Boone finally free himself from his step-sister's hold on him. And many, many other things like that. My favorite character in my all-time favorite series. :-)

I’ve come to realise that most LOST fans think of the time in the cages as a low point. Not me I loved it, I always say one or two episodes aside, seasons 1-4 was the best TV ever got…..

And that "I never carried a letter around for twenty years because i couldn't get over my baggage", I don't remember their backstory 100% but anyways, that seemed a very specific and unlikely that she'd suspect something like that, no? What's it mean btw? :p

Locke was meant to be the protector of the island but his sacrifice was needed for the greater good. Terry O' Quinn was magical in the role. The constant was the right choice for #1, made Desmond my second favorite character.

I think the thing that makes this show great is the writing and characters. The story of the island and all that doesn’t make a ton of sense, but the way the characters grow throughout and the way they’re written makes it worth watching

The #7 scene with Ben and Locke is also one of my favorites. Ben was a very deceitful and cruel person throughout most of the show. But at the end of season 6 he really started to grow on me and become a much better person.

Everyone hated "the frozen donkey wheel" ( what it was called in spoilers) but I thought it was so cool they made a wheel that could move the island and we're training polar bears to turn it. Then it exiled you to like Tunisia? Crazy. I enjoyed the sci fi part. Still think the ending was shit. But the electromagnetic qualities were so cool. Like the rabbits in the one video .

This Lost list was saved by the constant being number 1- great episode ever. Second should’ve been Locke waking up without his kidney and being conned by Dad - banging in hatch. 3rd was definitely Bens daughter death.

Back when I watched this...the sawyer scene with locke's dad wasn't a big deal...but after meeting con artists since then I really enjoyed watching that over. They are awful people and they do ruin lives and they don't give a shit. I would have taken my sweet time if I were Sawyer..
