Apparently he nearly over slept and missed the flight being the last person to board the plane. The plane was also delayed for 45 minutes and then 4 minutes after take off the first plane hit the wtc. Had he just been a minute or two later he might have missed boarding, and had the plane been delayed just a few more minutes they might not have ever taken off

@Irishjay_94
@Irishjay_94 3 жыл бұрын
@@rolltide_rhiannon Perhaps it was decided for more dramatic effect, given Todd's dialogue from the movie? However it is said in interviews and research that Mark nearly missed his flight that morning, he rushed on the plane last minute. In movie Flight 93 (another movie based on the event) we see Mark as the last passenger to aboard and just made it passed the ticket agent. Either or, it's tragic all round. Another passenger, a female flight attendant, at the airport, she had a dispute with her boyfriend because he begged her to please quit her job so they could work on their relationship. Another thing is, if the plane had waited 5 or more minutes it wouldn't have taken off because there would have been knowledge of flight 11 hitting the north tower and this is when planes were informed not to board. Even worse, if Flight 93 hadn't been delayed 40 minutes it would have surely hit it's target and it's passengers wouldn't have had any knowledge of the other hijackings, so they wouldn't have realized it was a suicide mission in order to take action.. RIP to all the victims of 9/11.

She was such a graceful mother. I always felt like she was my mother in a sense. Such a tremendous event to endure. Her son was such a incredible role model. He's like the first real life warrior of the LGBT community. Love how she fought for gay rights and was very active in never letting the story of what happened that day be forgotten. I’ve been afraid of terrorists since I was 8 yrs old. Military family so I’ve had loved ones die in combat & a few die of “normal” reasons but even tho I had that fear I truly believed once back on US soil my fears would calm a bit. They didn’t, they haven’t but for an everyday guy just catching a plane to die in this way is tremendously heartbreaking; mostly for the loved ones left behind bc we all know heroes have special place in Heaven

Just imagine knowing that your friend or someone died in that day then receiving a voicemail 2 days later for their final words to you

It's not her husband it's her son that died on 9/11. And he never called her. She called him and left a voicemail. She has a kinda deep voice so I think that confused you that it was a man leaving the voicemail @:09

Many people didn’t receive the messages from their loved ones that died because the telephone lines were just overwhelmed. Some took days to get the voicemails unfortunately. Some were in different time zones and were sleeping or working:(

What is interesting is that I will not believe that there was not ONE message from Paul Holm! That was his partner for life and to leave him out is concerning. They had been together for over 6 years!

This really bothered me too. Like, what??? I always vote blue and democrats/liberals do not condone terrorism. That really pissed me off tbh

People became very very hateful of immigrants and Islamophobia ran rampant. People also became more patriotic and people associate that with the Republican Party.
