Very slick lines from Nicki in this track and I thought the production of the beat sounded nice as well. What George said at the end of the video was a great input because we want to see some growth in music and seeing what else she got in store for us would be great. When she was talking about the enemy line I thought that was pretty well done because of the whole situation with Cardi B and for me I think this rivalry helps promote their music in a way that it keeps you waning to hear what they are going to put out. Great record from Nicki and Big ups to Lost In Vegas man.

I took that bench line differently. I think shes speaking on how labels are scrambling trying to create someone to rival Nicki, i.e. Bad Bahbie, Cardi, etc... and Nicki has been in the game, so she is making it known that these labels have their work cut out for them. And I'm not a Nicki fan at all.

@yazzur83046 жыл бұрын
Why do you keep bringing up The Pinkprint as if that's Nicki's true Hip-hop record? You're actually doing them a favour by bringing up The Pinkprint because in the songs were she's rapping, she's essentially rapping about the same shit that she still is today, which is what they were saying in the video. She says '' You're my sons '' two songs in a row and when she isn't rapping, she's making pop songs with Grande and Skylar Grey or making songs like Grand Piano. When she's rapping It's either done with boring love topics that won't impress anyone or its the same typical shit you hear from her in terms of being bragging and cocky. Which are things that George and Nick said they wish she would stray away from and do something different
@dejuanthegreat32576 жыл бұрын
Whip It Good The first 3 tracks of the pink print she talks about the future, having kids someday, her family , lost cousins, her abortion and loving someone but not wanting to tell them, along with her past relationships. There are some deep records and of course the hype records but her artistry goes beyond this album and her best is yet to come. And the way you went through bed of lies and grand piano like they weren’t nothing is ridiculous, she talking about what she going through what else you want her to talk about without being true to herself. Y’all be asking so much from her it’s ridiculous.

I really love that you guys appreciate and understand all aspects of rap and hip hop. I really respect that- I feel young people into this kinda music don’t know quality from trash, they just want something simple and something they can dance to. Nothing wrong with that overall, but when that’s ALL you want it all you need from your music, you’re not showing an appreciation or understanding of talent... I work with young adults here in the U.K. and when they had the radio on the other day, the only song they didn’t know and didn’t sing/rap along to on this rnb/rap station was an Avelino track..which for my money was the only track that played that had a hot beat and great lyricism /word play..and they switched off...hmm.

@hunterpoole73436 жыл бұрын
I definitely respect her, and slick bars are great, but slick bars are not the same as having substance. Which is what they were addressing. Her bars are dope but most of her songs are about the same topic. Just flexing, and there's nothing wrong with that, but don't compare that to other artists who have really deep topics for each song AND still have slick bars in there.

I actually like this song more and more as I hear it. This is the type of Nicki music I prefer. I do agree that she needs to mix it up more content wise though. This is one of the reasons Lauryn Hill is #1 in my eyes. The Miseducation ALONE has more layers and deeps deeper than a lot of rappers do during their entire careers. Not to mention The Score and her unplugged album. People will still be playing her music 40 years from now because of that. Nicki is talented as hell but as she grows, I hope she expands more on her content. I think artists are afraid to step outside of their comfort zones but I think now is the perfect time for her.

I loved how the video game motif runs through this whole song -- King Kong, Chun-Li, Storm from X-Men, Lara Croft. Also I definitely read the line "Any of them coulda did it with finesse/Now everybody like, 'She really is the best'" as some shade toward Cardi. I thought she was saying that any random rapper could have featured on Bruno Mars' "Finesse" and she's getting too much credit for it. And Nicki's like, LEMMESHOWYOU.
