Didn't even realize that reference until you brought it up to his call back to his incident at 16 when his car got shot up but he says on a few tracks he was protected by a guardian angel in so many ways. So many religious references throughout Coles verse. I love they way you guys broke down Cole's verse. I just wish y'all would've spoken about the production behind him before his verse hit. The thunder creeeping in giving that much more imagery to his words. This song is great tone to the rest of the year for both camps! i love y'alls reviews can't wait to see what's coming next!!

This song is EVERYTHING the only thing that could’ve made it better, would have been a Royce Da 5’9 verse.

As a Buffalo dude who saw Benny around for years, was in clubs in the background during video shoots. I get proud to see him elevate. Also as a dude who bangs Cole heavy and skips over most other mcs as of recent, this collab was top tier.

To verbally illustrate how you are feeling and project that onto a listeners ear and for that listener to be engulfed by the scene Cole is painting by mouth, just speaks volume on his skill . There's no need to debate if he's one of the GREATS , we need to enjoy it and live in the moments when cole paints his verbal portraits! 😌 Barrier breaking skills.

I think a huge thing for me with this song was simply hearing Cole say Griselda. Coming from the buffalo area it’s so superficial to hear one of my favorite rappers ever recognize and even put himself under that when I’ve spent so much time pulling for the Griselda boys. Made me so happy man.

“Collectin' his bread in mass like he a Catholic preacher” I think this one of the most underrated lines Cole’s says. Bread is the food catholic people would eat at church, Mass is another word for church… once you put it together 🤯🤯🤯
