Your content is thoughtful, respectful, and diligently filled with knowledge I never knew I needed to know. I am so very thankful I stumbled onto your channel. When my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, we ended up watching a lot more TV than usual. Over these past several months we have seen some of the most beautiful country in the world, conquered some worrisome rapids, portaged when we didn't really want to, found a nice camp spot, hung the hammocks, and had a delicious brook trout dinner, all thanks to you. My wife died this past Friday 9/6/24, but the hours and hours of comfort you provided with your videos was such a wonderful escape. Thank you Jon and Erin.

The zeit-geist brings the peace I need living in a city. The wonder of Great Canada I may never get to, you show the fauna the flowers the landscape the magnificence of it. Thank you. At times my immature jealousy of you cascades down and disappears when my canoe is finally on the car and I'm on my way back to the woods.

Yet another outstanding presentation by John, taking us out into nature feeling as if we are actually there. Brilliant creature encounters and his spectacular ability to capture ambiance is always top shelf. And when's the last time any of you watching saw someone not only rescue a moth out of the middle of a lake, but gave it a free ride to leafy branch on the shore to recover. John, you are the ultimate expression of what it means to be a good human being. If everyone was like you then humans would only be beneficial to the environment. Never abusing, littering or disrespecting in any way. Always caring and mindful. Silently caring and loving nature. TRULY making the world a better place. Surely you’ve sown 3 lifetimes of good Karma by now :) Because of YOU John, I now rescue moths and any other little creatures I see in distress. You’ve taught me to slow down and soak it all in and I thank you for these lessons. And I of course thank you for coming into my living room :) Cheers Brother. And keep them coming.

Two extremely long portages both well over 2 miles. It was very dry. Good... But had some major issues in areas where water should have been but wasn't. Dragged canoe and gear through deep mud for hours on the portage. Awesome 10 days trip... Thanks for taking us along for the ride.

All sunset/sunrise and segues always sweet. Love all the wildlife. I think the brilliant green beatle at 52:00 looks like the dreaded emerald ash bore, that has pretty much decimated the ash tree's in the upper midwest and northeastern states. I hate those bastards. I hope it may have met an early demise. Wow what a great save with your fishing rod and the hungry little bass! Thanks for the gift of this vid to kick our long weekend.
