She confused meekness for weakness. Meekness means to have training with a sword but only using it when needed. Why she thought a man trained in combat was a beta I can't figure. Its those good men who are the most that dangerous that restrain themselves the most. As for his not wanting confrontation I can understand that. Having fought actual battles he wanted peace.

Good story. People make a mistake when they use the term Alpha Dog. They think it is about size bravado and bragging. In a wolf pack, there is one of the dogs, not necessarily the biggest or strongest, but the one who is absolutely determined to win and is completely vicious when in a fight. That is the Alpha Dog. Other dogs follow the lead of the Alpha Dog because they understand that for the Alpha Dog, the only fight they will ever lose is their last one. You cannot tell who the Alpha man is by looking at him, from his demeanor or personality, only from how he behaves when the chips are on the line. The best martial artists I have known and some of the SEALs I have known are like that: polite and respectful, self-controlled and not bragging, typically not even disclosing their capabilities, but they win when it comes to a fight or a match no matter who the opponent is.

@@ricardocamara7116 I agree that is the case in most of the people I have known who were true alphas, but not all. Formidable but not advertising. But I also remember a champion martial artist I trained under who was sometimes low-key but in other circumstances was not shy at all about stating superiority, not trash talking but being open about his superiority in a way that intimidated many and for others provoked them into emotion and then becoming less effective fighters - that he then took apart with his ruthlessly rational cold calculating way of fighting. ponent. He was for some years absolutely invincible. He was a self-made guy, came up from nothing, but was immensely talented as an athlete, completely dedicated to being the best, and for a period, was the best. it was an honor to learn from him. Definitely physically the most grueling, challenging training I ever had. He taught me how perfect technique was done and to practice perfectly not sloppily. He imparted a completely cold, calculating, analytical approach to fighting and sparring that served me well not only in physical fights but later in corporate struggles. I think that, like most things, people are variable. There is no cookie-cutter for Alphas. Although I agree that the mentality you described was the most common, I do not think it is the only one.

Yes, I'm married and my husband and I agreed that we would never allow abusive behavior. It is easy for both sexes to take advantage of a doormat. I have been around both male and female doormats and it never goes well for them. Marriage is a partnership that requires both sexes to look out for each other. If done right both become much better people. @@ActionNoJackson

@Crochet_bro Жыл бұрын
No. His profile makes sense and he wasn't weak. Good men, with dangerous capabilities, work to restrain themselves the most. As for his not wanting confrontation that could be due to his former combat experience. Many veterans after they come back from war just want peace. A good soldier knows to only strike when he is assured victory. His wife may have won countless meaningless skirmishes. He won the war. Don't confuse meekness for weakness.
@natedablack785711 ай бұрын
@geography_guy335 Don't confuse consistently being a doormat for exuding inner strength. He only reacted AFTER he'd been walked all over, disrespected and humiliated too many times and finally woke up and realized how pathetic he looked. But he's the one that ALLOWED all of this to unfold to begin with. And that is the ultimate sign of weakness. Because he could've put a stop to it from the beginning...

Since his reputation was the ONLY thing her “daddy” valued, may as well find out/expose that and expose both of them for ruining his marriage (and ex wife) too
