All the news sources are pointing to this article in regards to an answer that Ian gave in regards to his guilty pleasure. But, its misleading. If the whole interview is listened to and watched, his other bandmates were talking about the group Right Said Fred right before that question was asked to him. What was Ian's reply - You've already answered it, also he remarked that smack was a guilty pleasure. While his drug use was known to people and to fans, as well as his perversions were known for some time before it all came out - from what I can gather from reading different articles - but this is no news whatsoever. Right Said Fred and heroin are his guilty pleasures - well, in this interview they were but now, sadly, we all know what they are. My hope that through all of this, his mates, his family, and those who were abused can be able to pick up the pieces of their lives and begin to move forward. Now, while I want to see Ian punished for his crimes as well, I also would like to see if rehabilitation could be possible, so that, not only does he have to live with the remorse, guilt, etc of all he has done, but also, that he would somehow be made to make some sort of restitution to his victims.

There was an interview in kerrang where kerrang were heavily indicating about Ian’s drug use and that something wasn’t right when betrayed was about to finally drop So unless of course they were with each other 24/7 and had access to Ian’s laptop then no they didn’t know Ian went missing and the band members had no idea where he was and Stuart knocked him out for it. They knew about his drug use, and they possibly knew about his womanising. Paedos like Ian will disguise their ways by surrounding themselves with people their own age ie fearne cotton and Alexa chung so people don’t suspect anything If you want to carry on blaming the band you do you, if it makes you sleep well at night. These guys had families and I don’t think it’s fair to blame the band; one of them hardly knew Ian as he was new to the band himself as they couldn’t hire a drummer for longer than five minutes Look at the bigger picture, the guy who did these crimes and absolute disgusting acts of depravity is the one we should be blaming and the mothers of those children, and the people who did know? The police constabularies and social services who did nothing. Those are the ones we should be blaming rather than the rest of the band and management who tried many times to intervene with his drug use. Maybe read up on the story rather than use your keyboard as a pitchfork

Yeah, that part made my blood run cold. In fairness to the lad who said "I've seen all the videos," it could well have been a joke on his part, completely oblivious to Watkin's deviant ways. Lets imagine a normal group of young men, all friends, locker room talk etc. It wouldn't be abnormal to pretend you'd seen videos of your friend and his sexual conquests, just to poke fun.
