LOTRO Point Farming (95LP/40min, without Introduction) | LOTRO Guide | Lord Of The Rings Online

So with the change of developers from Turbine to Standing Stone Games comes the change in name of Turbine Points to LOTRO Points, so with this change I thought I would take the chance to update my previous TP/LP farming video that I made roughly 4 months ago, here is that updated version with a method that will get you over 2 LOTRO Points per minute, totalling in 95 LOTRO Points in 40 minutes not including the Introduction, with a potential extra depending on certain things you choose to do.
The requirements for this method are extremely low, all you need to be able to do this can be found on a newly made account with all that you need being, a character that has completed the Introduction of the game and has access to the mail, and an empty character slot to use for the character that is going to be completing this method.

2 racial deeds start at lvl 13. They need you to kill 50 mobs each and are worth 5 LP each. 1 racial deed starts at lvl 19 and requires you to kill 100 mobs and is worth 10 LP. At lvl 10, you get 5 LP "for free" (Since epic battles were launched with the HD expansion. Hobbits have wolves & spiders at lvl 13. Then wolves again at lvl 19. Dwarves have dourhands & goblins at lvl 13. Then dourhands again at lvl 19. Elves have goblins & orcs at lvl 13. Then goblins again at lvl 19. Men have deads & wargs at lvl 13. Then deads again at lvl 19. Beornings have goblins & spiders at lvl 13. Then goblins again at lvl 19. (According to the lotro-wiki, beornings would have slighly different level criterias with other races regarding the level at which deeds are granted: Goblins at lvl 13, spiders at lvl 15 and goblins again at lvl 18).

you only need a spare char slot if you have yours full on ALL servers as LP are account based not server based.

This is pretty rad as an updated run for LP. I've done this before, but I always get distracted by the various quests. I'll have to try this out and discipline myself to earn enough LP for an expansion.

I'm glad you think that it's a good guide, obviously in this version the quests aren't done how they were in the previous guide so that we are not wasting time with the "Slayer Deed Accelerator", but if you do want to do the quests in addition, you could still do them after the accelerator has run out after the spiders, and that would mean that if you did all 3 of the quest deeds for Ered Luin you could get and extra 35 LP along with possibly more if you get some of the reputation deeds done alongside that, though I'm not sure how long that would end up taking in addition to the 40ish minutes already used.

Fascinating stuff! I learned a heck of a lot fro these, many things I just never would have thought of, such as playing a Minstrel. Murdering with music seems completely silly (all jokes about rap music and Vogon poetry aside) but, but hey, if it works in the game...

you could increase LP gains by 5 but that results in mark and medallions loss. you buy 5 small rep accelarators from skirmish camp which is 250/25(med/mark) each. when you do deeds, they also give you rep and if you do all the deeds(deeds from video) you ll have +10k reps with thorins hall which gives you 5LPs. Thinking again, 4 might be enough too. Didnt calculate after i saw 5k reps from deeds(there was more than 5k but i stopped counting after i reached 5k)

There is a crafting room with seller and mailbox right next to the stable at Thorin's Hall so no need to go back to celondim at the end.

If you level up to level 15, don't forget to send to your reroll the 21 Eriador maps (Festivals), 11 Moria maps (Festivals), 5 Captain's Journal Pages (Forsaken Inn Instance, pages are not linked to the account and the deed is valid even if you do not have access to the instance) => 3 deeds => 25 extra LP (+ Eriador and Moria maps)... do not forget to return the maps/pages to your main before deleting^^

You don't necessarily need to have the Slayer Deed Accelerator, however, if you don't have one, it's gonna take double the amount of kills to complete each of the slayer deeds, so you won't be able to get this sort of time, but if you have a look at the previous farming video, I did that one without an accelerator, so I added a few more deeds into the mix to make it more worth your time, so you might want to check that one out to see if it is worth it.

all items from gift box are now bound to character..you can still do the farm just fine but you have to use it on the character your going to use..just get to level 10 and use it..besides..those wolfs and goblins will still be aggressive no matter what unless your level 20

So I don't know if the game changed between this video and now in 2021, but why use a Minstrel for this? In these early levels (granted I'm new to the game) the Minstrel's damage output is pitifully low and can't kill enemies as fast as basically any other class.

I think the Beornian is the most convenient choice... plus if you got the starter packs with the giveawey every time you create a character it always gives you an X2 Slayer and X2 class deeds accelerator which is great in my opinion... I with Beorning do about 2h 225 LOTROP doing all the deeds of the 'Eredluins 5 class beornings deeds, the deeds then you have to brigandt's and spiders in the breeland and then the deeds of the Moria and Eriador maps.

Uhm,and even if you no longer have the slayer boost why not use milestone to retuen to Archet and do the Spider Slayer deed, its easy to do it at level 13 and is another 15 LP.

It takes time basically since you don't have the kill deed active by then. The time you spend on killing spiders(and bandits) time you could be spending on making another fresh 95 points. It's just more efficient to focus on the kill deed and then rerolling a new character. Heck, you could head to shire and do location+kill deeds too for a ton of points but it's just not worth the time spent.

It takes 80 to 90 minutes. You cut the intro minutes so you created two accounts for this so 40 minutes plus 40 = 80.

The intro takes about 20~ minutes from my experience. It would add up to an hour for 95 points. I'd probably make a couple of tweaks to this. For example heading to MD before Cele, binding there grab the deed book from shared. Once you're done with everything in Ered recall to MD and dump the stuff you want into shared/mail money. It just seems more time efficient.

Probably because he's using the slayer deed accelerator. Quests givers mostly need you to come back to them to get your reward. It means more time running for validation instead of just running to kill things around. The goal is maximizing the LOTRO Points yield (LP/h), including the time you spend in the introduction with no LP granted at all. If you're not using a deed accelerator, and that your goal is not LP farming but only a side effect of levelling your toon, then yes it would be a good to do the quests as well.

The old strat used a 90 minute slayer deed which made it worthwhile. Sadly you can only do so many kill deeds in 30 minutes and doing anything beyond that takes more time for less points in general.

this is really bad way to grind points. it is way better and less complicated for people without money to just make a Hobbit or Elven Hunter, then do Ered Luin deeds, then Breeland or The Shire starting in Little Delving with Post delivery. Your 2nd mistake is - you dont even do any quests - which give extra shop points prettty easily.

It looks bad but you have to take into account the pph that's where all other strats start to fail when it comes to point farming. If you do full ered luin, then head to shire and do location+kills and finish off with spider+bandits in bree you'll get 240 or something points but it'll take longer than 2 hours. The point efficiency just isn't there. That's why this route is okay, but it's a bit misleading since the intro takes about 20 minutes so it adds up to about an hour for 95 points. It's a no brainer route too and doesn't take more than that so it's something to consider.

The intro isn't actually skippable without buying the "Veteran Status" for 100 LOTRO Points from the store, which quite obviously, since this will only get you 95 LP will result in a loss in LP, so you will have to go through the intro each time, however, as I mentioned, it does go by quite quickly once you have done it a few times over and if you use the Beorning for your character, the intro time is cut in half, resulting in it being about 10 minutes instead of 20 mins, causing this entire guide to only take roughly 50 minutes for 95 LP, which is still about 2 LP per minute.

@@milordas No slayer deed active, that's why the 30 minute killing spree is there. You can do a full run which includes doing everything in Ered Luin(+quest final), then heading over to shire do kill deeds exploration. You pop the deed book as you reach the bandit camp. In those 30 minutes you can do all kill deeds in shire as long you know where to go. This of course takes more time about 3 hours if you count in doing spiders+bandits in Bree. It's not as time efficient.

It works fine, you could do an extended route of this for more points but it'll take you longer. Not sure if it's worthwhile doing the longer route honestly. If you have a 90 minute slayer deed then sure it's very worth it - if you only have 30 minutes it's going to take a lot longer.

@@griffmail5889 Yes, sorry. Just noticed people responded. Tips, hit all explorer points in the elf/hobbit area. Do a few quests in the areas you are at to boost your level & gain rep. If someone is in the area you are hitting, move to the next then loop back around afterwards. Try to follow the same path/pattern until it becomes easier & faster to do each time. Oh, and play a minstrel with the starter area in Archet/Bree. It's much faster.

theres another guide that is pretty much this one extended. It nets 230 more or less. the first time you do it it will take you more than 2 hours but with practice you can do it in under 90 minutes. thats slightly above twice as this guide. I would share it rn, maybe I will do it sometime later.

If the game we're completely free to play how would they cover the cost of the servers and wages for the developers to continually provide and maintain content? PC and Console games cost about $60 per in the US. This game has a much broader scope than any of them could and should be worth at least that.

When I was 12 I used to farm like that because my parents wouldn't buy me Lotro points. Around 2010 i managed to get Moria, Mirkwood, Angmar, Inv Bags, Virtue traits and Rohan that way later when it released. Yes, I skipped Isengard because it was too expensive, Mirkwood got me to 68 than i got 1 month vip and did the recently released zone to 73 and the epic quests in Isengard got me to 75 :) Then i farmed and got the Isengard cluster. Now as I look back, I should have probably dropped this cash grab and found a girlfriend but at 12-13 years, farming seemed fun. The char got deleted with the old servers in the end though. Why would anyone ever do this? It's a horrible time investment. You could just work your job for 1 hour and get 10x more lotro points, all the while saving you from grinding and making new characters for the next 10 hours.

True, heck, you could just work a job and buy *everything* in the game. Why even level, just buy a boost. Why raid yourself? Just buy a carry. Everything is solvable by money in a f2p lol. That's how they're built. People do this because 1) they like a challenge 2) they don't want to spend money on the game 3) it's just a game and an activity 4) they're poor? but then again internet cost money lol so doesn't make much sense to me. There are more reasons but those are a few that comes to mind.

I don't NEED to do it..I like the mini game of farming on occasion..I have everything I need, my vault is maxed out..I have 10 large crafting carry alls, I have 3 large task carry alls..I have over 14k lotro points in reserve, yet...I still do lotro point farming..Not everyone has the play the way YOU play to enjoy the game..let people play the game they way THEY want to play instead of bashing them...otherwise you're just being a prick.
