How can everyone who saw this movie be so mean to Lotso? All that poor bear ever wanted was to be loved. And he was just too blinded with anger and hatred to realize that his old owner Daisy lost him and the baby doll and clown doll, Chuckles. You can't help but feel a little bit sorry for Lotso.

Because prior to the release of Toy Story 3, Lotso was initially being presented as a kind and loving bear with fake commercials about him. But little did we know, once we actually saw the movie a month after this video was made, he is revealed to be anything but. The whole thing was Pixar's strategy to make Lotso's reveal as a heartless monster all the more shocking. We were all being lied to about him the whole time. Hope this answers your question! ^_^

i met lotso at disney world. i don't care if he's a heartless monster in the movie, i love lotso! not to be creepy or anything but OH MY GOD. HE'S RIDICULOUSLY SOFT AND PLUSH O_O i could hug him all day, lawl. i unfortunately can't remember if he really smelled like strawberries or not. that was before i saw the movie, so i didn't check.

Oh comeon! What's with all the hate on Lotso! Even though he was a ruthless, coldhearted, bastard in the movie. He had a reason to be, all he wanted was to be loved by Daisy, but was replaced which made him into a villian, and made him hate everything. I felt sorry for Lotso because of the shit he went through. He was a very unique villian and I think is the best villian in the Toy Story series.

@vigo894 Actually, when I went to see him, he did have a cane, really I saw it. So, yeah, it was that Lotso. But, he's a lot nicer now. I think the trip on the garbage truck did two things. One, straightened him out and two, drove him all the way to Florida. LOL!! But still, I love Lotso.

@DragonD13 That was one of my few problems with the movie. The twist of Latso being the bad guy is identical to the twist with the Prospector in Toy Story 2 - especialy both starting as a "old wise man" figure... however I find Latso more interesting.

At first I didn't like Lotso...especially when he left the others to die..I was SHOCKED when he turned evil, the first time viewing the film...but in the end, at least the film makers made it understandable...I mean Daisy did replace him...and I can see how and why he would snap (Daisy being the only one he truly cared about) I guess in the end I feel kinda bad for Lotso..haha. I have a tiny Lotso plush I got from the Disney store...and yes, he actually does smell like strawberries...haha.
