I didn't think it was possible for one individual to know as little about The Beatles as Mike Hanford does. Makes the character even funnier.

I find every one of these videos has coincidental words, common to two or more eps. In this one, it's "tubing". I heard it in 3 episodes at least. Weird. It's not a word you hear a lot, or not one I do anyway.

Epic! This is the only way I could find Whistlin’ Pete without Stitcher. I usually listen to that a few times each summer. I’d really love to find the Questions for Lennon with Paul Rust where they do Christmas spoof songs. I think it’s called Christmas Comes Just Once a…JEER!?

I don’t know where all the shows have gone since stitcher died. It would be great to edit more eps of “Questions for Lennon” and “with special guest Lauren lapsus” if they were available.

Anyone who thinks “Twist and Shout” is the worst Beatles song either has not heard every Beatles song or is lying.
@BabyFaceBren2 жыл бұрын
Wow, funny you say that, I just tweeted Will Hines that it's a great track. I have started listening to Will's Beatles' podcast (after hearing about it on the 'improv4humans' ep in this video) and I'm really unsure after hearing 'Twist and Shout' again today if that whole 'improv4humans' episode was an ironic joke of some kind? If so, it flopped. You're right, there are some really bad Beatles songs (you don't have to look much further than some of the experimental shit on the White Album) and not only that, 'Twist and Shout' is GREAT. I used to do it in a band and the crowd always went off (in a good way!). I'm fucking baffled after hearing that 'improv4humans'. I don't believe Hanford hates the track though. I think at least that was a joke (Lennon not liking his own amazing vocal).
@jackohearts662 жыл бұрын
Twist and Shout is great but I know Beatles fanatics who think it's lame though not their worst which is ridiculous. I had assumed they were using that assertion as a semi-comedic premise to stir the pot. Unfortunately John himself offers no push back on cultural, aesthetic, political, moral or even physical health grounds. Oh well. Mr. Moonlight also gets thrown under the bus but it's a great tune in my book (love the rolling guitar lick). Somebody (Professor Fricke?) mentions For the Benefit of Mr. Kite as contender for worst and there I finally agree.
