The only thing I hate most abt BG is the fact that when I use energy, im more likely to get a fair match but the moment I start using those Elder marks, I lose 9 outta 10 matches & then all my marks are done.

About the matchmaking in BG, I'm one of these Vaillant players with only 6r5 asc and 7r2 in my account and I do agree that I feel it's not fair for my opponents this season. They should just wait out 1 week that we all get out of the VT or that we reach Vibranium at least instead of burning their token. They messed up putting us in gold 5

I don't see how they think the Thronebreaker "progress farther" rewards will help any TB go farther. I need 7* shards and T6CC to progress farther, but everything on this calendar seems like they're for uncollected.

I've had a rough experience in this season BG’s. I find it interesting that Rich is going against people lower than his rank. While I have been matched with people at my level or higher. I have also watched other high rank players live streaming. What’s interesting is that their opponents are less often to draft the Serpent’s and Bullseye’s even though they are not banning them. I understand that RNG is a factor for drafts but something seems off. I personally plan on working to get better. My win ratio is abnormally low for this season, it appears I am just being used as a stepping stone, which isn’t fun. I hope you all have had much better luck than me!

I think this meta is pretty fun. Where kabam messed up imo is still putting deathless in bgs. At least so high up in them. On top of the bugs, it causes so much frustration right before people decide if they will open up their wallets for the 4th. I'm guessing they are all sweating right now lol. I think that's why the comp rewards were as good as they are.

I NEVER use victory shields. And since Kabam gave away 10 this season due to the bug in restart, I used them. It began my current unprecedented 9 match losing streak, with one shield left. 🤔

Here is my battlegrounds match making hypothesis. 1.) The obvious everyone started much lower than normal. 2.) Many paragon players + and myself from alliance had a major drop off in playing last two seasons due to the leveling up trophy 🏆 system which became wayyy to grindy. Therefore players like myself who is Paragon started at the absolute bottom level. 3.) Much higher progressions are playing this season. I guarantee it’s the bigges turnout Kabam has seen in months due to the new trophy system and due to better prizes for Kabams compensation. 4.) Lots more new players entering battlegrounds with all the free and easy 6 star share acquisitions so a lot more people are beating story content. 5.) This in turn makes matchmaking so much worse because there are far more Paragon + players in the pool along with more uncollected players than ever. Strategy and how to combat this. 1,) if your paragon plus everyone that’s smart is using their elder marks out the gate for easy solo objective point prizes, so if your lower level stay out of using your tokens until we advance… Like many people said in the comments they feel like matchmaking is better using energy and that’s correct and not a coincidence. For the people that aren’t trying to reach high ranks If ur just going for the magneto crystals just do the win objective that gets u the crystal and STOP playing BG after that and do arena or something else When the objective resets and the magneto crystal come back do it again and u might be able to complete the other regular objectives like win 3 matches play 3 matches When u need one more win to rank up/advance use one of the free 10 victory shields unless u already have some but only in this situation u use them

BGs matchmaking has never really been good, but so far I have seen more even matchmaking in hero rating who I’m fighting. I’ve gone from basically a 7:1 loss/win ratio after getting to silver in previous seasons to roughly 2:1. Now as far as it being more even, it might be because there’s just more people playing BGs? I’m not sure, honestly. I can say I have seen more opponents that are more my own level in hero rating, but also seeing 1 higher or lower hero rated matchup to every 6-7 even footing matches. Personally I think it’s better but we just need to see how this is going to go this season before we all freak out. Honestly I’ve said that this wasn’t going to last past this season since kabam talked about it on the live stream. Unless they release data that shows a difference between this season vs other seasons, I’m sure we’ll never know.

They've shoehorned chase rewards into BG so people like me who usually never touch the mode is doing it. I'm definitely an unfair match for the majority of the guys I'm being paired with, but I usually never partake and thus am ranked lowly. I'm thinking there might be a bunch of players like myself, which is negatively affecting matchups.

Ok, sooooo... I'm a high level Paragon player. I'm not THEE most skilled, but I'm not awful either. I do have a fairly strong BG roster. The season started me off at mid-silver. The MOMENT I hit Gold, virtually ALL the matches were RIDICULOUSLY unbalanced against me. We're talking Valiant players with multiple duped r3 7*s and virtually ALL FULLY STACKED and ascended 6*s apart of the 7*s. I have NO idea how they're matching people up - is it your game progression? Is it the total rating of your deck???? Is it the place you're in within the circuit??? A combination of all the aforementioned?????? WHO KNOWS!!!!?? It's MEGA-frustrating and eating through ALL my BG resources

I'm 4m valiant and I have faced some low rating accounts which just quit and did not play. Mind you not every valiant players are highly skilled, I have beaten quite a few of those high rating accounts the past several seasons don't quit just give it a try you'll never know.

No you have to win the match if you never play and your in the bottom tier it shouldn’t be hard to win a match

No, to earn BG magnetron crystals, you need to win one match in BG. It got nth to do with Victor shield. I think the challenge recycle every two days. You can only unlock Battle ground after u reach the uncollected.

Forget uncollected suffering. I have a single rank 3 7 star and I'm still getting speed runned by guys with several new good defender and at rank 2 and rank 3. Cavaliers won't even make a dent, if all my rank 4 defenders are getting cooked.

War rewards are TRASH. We get 2k 7 star shards for seasons 🤣🤣. We can get 5x that from BG with much minimal effort, stress and planning and getting shat on by 29 others. And you can buy 2 pots from loyalty per win. You need like 4 for R5 ascended champ 🤡

we dont know how many games he had already entered and lost beforehand, it took me over 14 losses yesterday to get the magnetron crystal, at that point i just set my phone down when i saw an insane roster. This guy probably did try to play but just realized that there really isnt a point when the people we are being matched against have 4 times our overall rating.

The amount of parries the defenders get when they don’t deserve it by playing so passive is frustrating..every match you literally have to hope you get good ai but sometimes from the jump you can tell the ai is going to play funky and weird just to throw you off in a game mode where time is a big factor

The people interested in it and its rewards are playing it. “Forcing” everyone else to play it (by putting chase items like deathless pieces) goes against their message of you don’t have to do everything in the game. I’m a Cav/TB level player. Just got TB the other day. When I play BGs, is estimate I get a relatively fair matchup about 25% of the time. The rest of the time, I either get matched against a roster that completely destroys me, or a roster that can’t compete with mine and I destroy them!! Definitely not ideal

I think the one thing it is missing is the ranked rewards. If the intent was to get people more involved, it allows players to do the initial check the block and then no reason to keep playing. I do miss the 4hour and 24hour crystals though. This is a decrease from those and they had great resources in them!

I feel bad for all of us. Kabam has told us that we are bad at battlegrounds. But what Kabam isn’t saying is that they are unaware of the battlegrounds exploit. Givin exploit allows the user get lower accounts to fight. So if it works I’ll as I am paragon level get cavalier and below 😂. That being said Kabam do the people who have uncollected accounts that I’m at paragon level and murdering or the ones who look at my account and quit cuz they know that fighting me is a waste of time suck…….. look if I am able to do this then it’s happening to me as well and it’s all f@&$@$ Up so if we’re fighting pay to play a$$ holes, moders, hackers and exploiters how the f?$& is matchmaking fair or the the fffffffffffffffffffffffff do yall have the audacity to say we suck. I became valiant with Act 8, and went up from gold V to platinum I. It's not easy. I think the compensation shouldn't be these frags. Instead, they should remove that piece from VisD and try to reduce the fight. People are killing each other at the lower levels. I know this will get better, but will there be time for everyone to get a satisfactory grind? I advise, spend your shields sparingly, towards the middle of the season.

Kabam just fooled us by saying easier to climb VT. Instead that MF kabam set pathetic matchmaking to make sure TB paragons can reach Vib or GC. Before this season there was concern for bg, but now if this matchmaking continues, many will surely leave bg. Kabam made blunder. Its tough to even reach plat.
