Lotsapoppa Murder Attempt

Charles Manson discusses shooting Bernard "Lotsapoppa" Crowe and leaving him for dead.
Charles "Tex" Watson burned black drug dealer Lotsapoppa.
Lotsapoppa called the ranch asking for Chatles and Charles Manson took the call. Lotsapoppa threatened Charlie that he'd go and kill everyone at the ranch if Tex didn't give him his drugs and money back.
Tex wouldn't deal with the problem so Charlie took care of it.
He went to Lotsapoppa's place, ended up shooting him, and left him for dead.
Lotsapoppa survived but Charlie didn't know that until he saw him alive at the trial.

MrTruboy Right!! The guy called the ranch looking for Charlie..... Charlie Tex Watson, NOT Charlie Manson! Also Tex wouldn't go deal with the problem when Manson said he should? Tex wouldn't even come to the phone, that was for him, when Charlie asked him to? So we are to believe that the "cult leader who had such mind control over all these kids to the point that they went & killed for him instantly" couldn't even get Tex to take a fuckn phone call to deal with a VERY BAD & VOLATILE situation that Tex himself created?!?! Charlie Manson could get Tex to kill for him no questions asked because he controlled him but he couldn't control Tex to take a PHONECALL that was for him? Makes sense.....lol

@@goodstuff8156 It was the inciting incident that lead to it. If Lotsapoppa didn't claim to be a Black Panther member. Manson wouldn't have been looking over his shoulder for a month. Scared that the man he possibly killed has Panther buddies coming to Spahn Ranch to seek revenge, and would of had no reason to try and frame them for the murders.

It's funny...Charlie "remembers" the TALK, talk, talk for a couple of days leading up the shooting pretty consistently from one interview to another over the years...but he doesn't remember ANYTHING about actually being there and actually shooting anybody. "Blah, blah, blah, so, I went and shot him..." I know 12 year old wannabe punks who tell better stories than that. Manson never, ever was a torpedo. Ever. But he needed his new dance partners at Q (he fully expected to be sent "home" to McNeil Island) to BELIEVE he was. He needed some "cred" in order to be able to join a good all-white prison gang like the Bluebirds (aka Aryan Brotherhood.) So, once he sees the handwriting on the wall, he starts playing along with the "Charlie shot a guy once" nonsense that Bug so desperately needs the jury to hear. That's all Manson ever did. Tell people what they want to hear. The most overrated criminal of all time. Just a little guy with a big mouth.

He remembers all this and everything they said but he doesn't have a clue that he never actually killed the guy in the first place when he did this he literally told his followers to go dump the body thinking the guy was dead and he was still alive he's not the brightest usually murderers double check a few times who they tried to kill was actually dead before they dumped their bodies but he didn't he had these guys that followed him going dump the body of his dude he shot and the guy was still alive and continue to live the rest of his life.
