Lotus Elan M100 Front End Renovation part 1 - Attacking the “D Plug!”

Finally got around to tearing apart the front end of the M100. One of the tasks stressing me out was the transmission fluid fill, which according to the service manual is the impossible to reach speedometer drive. We created our own fill location on the side of the trans by repurposing an existing plug.
The trans should be filled with 1.8L!

Why did it need new driveshafts ?

The intermediate shaft bearing was wobbly. Also, I have no history for the car really, so figured it was best to just do a refresh so I could enjoy it and not think about these things for a decade or more.
