Your feelings were the same as mine, Stolas's pain is so palatable. I'm in my mid 50's, perhaps a bit world weary, and I've freaking watched this video dozens of times. It gets no easier to watch his heartbreak over this relationship.The voice cracks that Pinkman adds in just slay me.

Another cool but heartbreaking little detail, when the thread of fate between them snaps, the frayed ends look like two hands reaching for each other 🥲💔 Some have theorized that maybe the thread snapping represents him breaking the deal that binds them and not necessarily him letting go of Blitz completely We definitely feel like the Full Moon episode is going to hurt, cause we strongly suspect Blitz will take the gesture of Stolas giving him the crystal as Stolas abandoning him. But there's also the hope that Stolas will finally confess his feelings to Blitz. Which Blitz will probably not believe at first and maybe even lash out, but at least then it will be out in the open and give Blitz something to think about. Blitz is likely not ready quite yet for an actual relationship, but I'm sure with as much work has been put into building up this relationship, that they will be together at some point. We know Blitz feels at least something for Stolas, it’s just his trauma and insecurities getting in the way. It's likely gonna hurt at first, but Stolas knows that he needs to end the transactional part of their relationship if he wants any chance of having something more with Blitz.

Stolas is a Prince of Hell. His true form is terrifying. He's also one of the most genuinely decent individuals in the series. He's never intentionally hurt anyone. Yeah, he set up that contract with the book for certain services, but the guy was absolutely starved for physical affection and it wasn't like he and Blitz didn't have at least some history as friends. He actually does love Blitz. Whether Blitz feels the same in return has yet to be resolved. Blitz has some issues from his past he needs to resolve first regardless. Fixing his relationship with Fizz was one of those. The series hasn't exactly been shy about those of high rank being in relationships with those of lower rank. Fizz and Azmodeus being the one I know you've seen.

It's insanely refreshing to see a reaction from someone with this song where there's no pauses, but just complete, clear, respectful focus, and then all the emotions hit at the end. I completely broke down with the key change near the end. I've never been in a relationship, due to dealing with chronic illness for most of my life. I've been trying to unpack a lot in therapy that I put on the back-burner for years while pursuing my education. I've been told by many that at the age of 22 (I'll be 23 next Friday), it's perfectly fine if I haven't met someone just yet, and that whomever the right person is, we'll cross paths when it's right. It doesn't make it any easier though when you see others, friends and family, or any media really, in romantic relationships, and you wonder, "Why can't I be happy like that?" I know that it's true you have to be happy with yourself before you can expect to be happy with someone else, and nobody is entitled to happiness or a relationship, but it doesn't make it hurt any less. The holidays are so much worse too, cuz that's when you see plenty commercials of people cuddled up together on a couch, or walking hand-in-hand, slow-dancing, sharing a meal together; it' just brutally isolating. I realize I went on a bit of a tangent, but some of those feelings are what surfaced when I listened to this song, as well as the visuals in this music video. Blitzø's character is so real, to both crave and fear proper intimacy, as well as Stolas' character and his fears of unrequited love, wondering if he's hurt Blitzø, or even deserves him. There's also the element of Blitzø and Stolas being in their mid to late-30's. They aren't young lovers like in most media. By society's standards, they're pretty much through the prime of their lives. Blitzø even vented to Loona in S1E8, wondering if he was, "gonna die alone". Death doesn't care what age you are, it'll come for you whenever it pleases. We know his self-destructive history, and about many of the relationships he's lost (namely Verosika, his sister, his mom, and Fizz until recently), and that fear of dying alone is so real. Beautiful animation and song, it's just...a lot. I had to pause multiple times while typing all this.

I appreciate your silence so very much because I genuinely believe you felt what this song was intended to do to the listener. It's a heart breaking, desperate cry internally for Stolas. I think part of Stolas' fear is that by letting go of this contract he made with Blitzo, it would sever any reason for them to stay in touch period. My follow up fear is that Stolas will not express himself to Blitzo as he is handing over the crystal and Blitzo will automatically assume Stolas is sick of him(or Blitzo doesn't allow Stolas to speak running with his assumptions instead. I fear it will tear them fully apart before we have to slowly rebuild. As much as I know their dynamic is not healthy and they BOTH have a lot of work to be done- I hope they are end goal. I really hope they figure themselves out and are able to form a happy, healthy dynamic together.

To help clear it up, Stolas is not exactly trying to cut ties with Blitzø. He is trying to give him a choice. One that Stolas is certain will mean they have to cut ties. The Asmodian crystal, as we know, allows demons to traverse to the mortal realm legally. And we know the whole point of their monthly reunion is to pass off the Grimoire so Stolas can do his work that night and then give it back to Blitzø after. Stolas will make the move in the next episode and it is now up to Blitzø to decide what to do. I am personally hoping that their relationship grows stronger because of this. But I am terrified and almost certain that Blitzø will see this as Stolas trying to get rid of him. That he's had his fun and is now going to drop Blitzø like the trash Blitzø believes he is. It especially hurts because we know Blitzø cares about Stolas. Because in the episodes after Stolas is hospitalized Blitzø is seen with circles under his eyes. He's losing sleep over the fact that Stolas can be hurt.

Viv just loves to put us through so much emotional damage that the fandoms of both her shows are allergic to happiness. Also a lot of people forget that Blitz keeps everyone at a distance since the fire because he's afraid of being hurt again and of losing the ones he loves or being abandoned by them again and he's having a hard time healing. He's coping albeit in an unhealthy way but that's usually what trauma does. We get the physical disability rep with Fizz but the mental disability especially PTSD/CPTSD with Blitz.

I don't think he's trying to pull away, but I think he's decided the only and truest way to show Blitz how he doesn't want their relationship to be transactional is to remove the transaction from the equation; the Asmodean Crystal, I believe, is capable of containing certain magic. Stolas intends to bind the portal-making spell into the Crystal and give it to Blitz; this would essentially 'free' Blitz from their transaction. Blitz no longer needs to take the Grimoire, he now has all the means he will ever need to keep his business afloat without needing Stolas at all. Blitz, undoubtedly, will misinterpret this as Stolas "breaking up" with him and the crystal as essentially "severance pay", when really what Stolas is doing is giving Blitz the choice to continue coming to him, without either of them having the excuse that they're doing it transactionally, or to.... not come to him, and to instead have as clean a break as he can have. Things will either be resolved next episode, or we'll be carried on into S3 with Stolas and Blitz fully broken up and Stolas more than likely finally divorced from Stella. I do hope we see Loona and Octavia continuing to be friends, I thought their bond in S2E2 was adorable.

Me before watching this video : yeah, Fizz is my new favorite character ! Me after watching that video : Stolas, my baby boy, how did I even thought of replacing you ! The most probable future is that Stolas will give Blitz his freedom by ending the contract, and Blitz will take it the wrong way, feeling like Stolas is abandoning him. Despite making peace with Fizz, he's probably still too damaged to accept or voice his feelings for Stolas and when he's trying to give him. I love that Stolas is showing us, with this song, that he understand how wounded Blitz is by ho life treating him, that he's protecting himself, and knowing there is probably still a lot he doesn't know about his scars. I think Stolas needs to deal with Stella and her shits first while Blitz is reconnecting with his past, finally forgiving himself for some stuff. Next episode is called "Full Moon" so yeah, an obvious reference to their contract, while the next one is title "Apologiz Tour", so maybe a Blitz focused episode about him and everyone he might have hurt in the past. Now that Hazbin is coming out, all we can do is wait and prepare ourself for the probable heartbreak that's waiting for us next.

This video is just heartrending no matter how many times I see it. It's almost a certainty that Blitz will view Stolas ending their "business" arrangement as proof that he was just a plaything for the royal, and is now being cast aside. He's so broken on the inside that he can't even conceive that Stolas is ending the arrangement to remove any obligation other than his wanting to be together. Thank you for not talking and just experiencing the song in its entirety. Most of us got teary-eyed watching our little owl boy finally break down and make a decision that may cause him to lose the love of his soul, especially with Fizz granting Blitzø the crystal to travel to earth for I.M.P.'s jobs. Let's be honest, if Stolas and Blitz don't end up together, the entire fandom is going to leave the series, that is, only half of the fandom will be the series to find out if Stolas and Blitz are finally a couple, if not, it's canon. My thought process has been, Stolas believes that Blitzo is only with him because of the deal and wants to give him the choice by breaking the bond with the succubus gem. Stolas is of the mind that by giving Blitzo this gem and "freeing" him from their deal that he would have the choice to love him regardless. However Blitzo is very much the type of person to see this as just another favor owed. Blitzo didn't get the gem himself. He didn't earn it. It was a poisoned apple given by his patron. I know people like Blitzo and despite the love and affection given they can't comprehend anything being for them without meticulous reasons. I believe he will see this as just another thing Stolas has on him and won't be able to see past that. With episodes 6 and 7 out, as well as the Striker episode where Stolas got hurt, I do believe it would make narrative sense for him to, at the very least, accept it as is until he's left alone to his own thoughts. Blitzo is very much at a turning point. One that could bring them closer together than Ozzie and Fizz, or drive a steak through the heart and kill the relationship forever. It all depends on how Blitzo takes this gift.

It’s an astounding accomplishment for what started out as a fan-made song to be seen and adapted by a series’ creator, and have it adapted into the canon! For reference, an artist who goes by “Paranoid DJ” wrote and produced this song nearly 3 years ago! I say adaptation though, because DJ’s original song, had a few differences with the lyrics that were changed here. In Vivzie’s adaptation, the lyrics in the Pre-Chorus are, Let me hold you, keep you close to me. I long to hear your voice. But dearest, I know better now. I must give you this choice. Whereas DJ’s lyrics changed halfway through before the refrain; “Let me hold you, keep you close to me. I long to hear your voice. Come now, my little impish plaything. We both made our choice.” I can see why Vivzie adapted the lyrics as she did, because the lyrics there get kinda gross. You have to remember, Paranoid DJ wrote this song nearly 2-3 years ago, close to when Stolas’ character was exclusively the flamboyant guy who’d cheated on his wife, and had seemingly subjected his daughter to a toxic home life, just to bang Blitzø. This song was released on October 11th of 2021, 20 days before Ozzie’s dropped, and well before S2E1, “The Circus”, had dropped, so we didn’t know Stolas’ abusive marriage was arranged, or that he’d stuck it out for so long just for Octavia. We only had the narrative of him cheating in mind, and seeming like this sex crazed guy, fetishizing Blitzø and the prospect of sleeping with the lower class while in his position. I can see why the lyrics where Stolas calls Blitzø his plaything, and says that Blitzø forfeited his choice to leave their toxic, monthly arranged bang-sesh for the Grimoire were changed. It was when Stolas’ character seemed-at best, desperate to be with Blitzø, and at worst, preying on him because of their class differences. I respect both versions of the song, both the original and the adapted canon one, because DJ truly captured Stolas’ perceived character at that time in those lyrics. But Bryce’s voice and the altered lyrics do it a lot of justice too. Please though, do listen to the original too. Far too often, smaller artists and their work are overlooked. Happens all too often with fan-made stuff.

Since the end of season one at Ozzies, I have found that Blitz is 'trying' to be vulnerable and mend broken relationship. Not that it always works out for him. Barbie rejected him but Fizzy welcomed him back. Him even trying is more than he ever did in the first season. I feel Blitz is going to leave Stolas and I hope he does. The crystal is a good way to to eliminate the power imbalance their relationship has and put a stop to Blitz' mindset that he is 'just' a fuckboi to Stolas. I really hope Stolas will step back and cool his desperation but I feel if he does Blitz will think that a toy was all he was. I just feel if Stolas keeps chasing it will do more harm than good. I really think Blitz needs to take his time and figure out what he wants from Stolas.

As someone who’s delt with a kind of similar situation to Stolas this song hurts…a lot. It’s still a good song and it’s supposed to be more meloncoly to portray how Stolas is feeling and it does a very good job at that. And Bryce singing really helps bring the song to life and adds weight to the lyrics. Also the animation and background team did a spectacular job the scenery is so pretty and regal. I love the moon motif used for Stolas and you can clearly read his expressions and movements.

Just to clarify, since what you said at the beginning about outside content tying into the story cause that bugged me a bit, in this case it would not be an absolutely vital thing to watch in order to not be lost. Viewers of the show have known he's been trying to get this crystal and rethinking his relationship with Blitz; if he were to have the crystal in the next video, the viewers can draw the conclusion on their own that Ozzie gave him one after Fizz told him to. It's not uncommon for them to not show every step in the process of something, like Stolas' trip to the hospital. We can gather that by the time we see him meeting Ozzie that he's healed from his wounds. Just had to say that cause it was like, an indirect criticism of the music video that wasn't accurate, sorry lol

I think thats an amazing part, so many people's favorite characters are kinda roaming through the seasons because they almost all have interesting or compelling parts to them! And yeah I enjoyed seeing someone let the emotion of the song touch them! Its nice to hear commentary from people moved by the story/art etc ^^ And I agree I don't think this will sever their bond even if Blitz freaks out and takes off :') just found your channel and going to go rewatch this show for the.........***th time through your reactions lol
