I owned at one time, both a Series 3 and a Series 4 Lotus 7... and how I miss them.

I was fortunate to have 2 series 4 Lotus 7s, both with big valve twin cams. Also a Caterham Hpc, and a lotus Europa, which was a bit more civilised (but not much). My favourites were the twin cams with that magical Webber induction sound.

Is that a Cosworth Cortina pulling the race Lotus?

It is a Cortina Lotus, I thought it was a really nice touch because both cars are classics and there is a possibility that the 7 was also fitted with the same engine as the one in the Cortina Lotus which was a 1557cc Lotus engine. Ford never fitted a Cosworth engine in their Mk I Cortina.
