When he came South to coach the Arkansas Razorbacks, my first response was “They’re hiring a Carpetbagger!" I was so wrong! The finest man in America came to coach our team! He took the Hogs to the 1977 Orange Bowl and defeated the Sooners 31-6 with 6 of our very best players on the bench for various team rule violations. He gave no quarter to foolishness in Arkansas. He walks the walk!.

He did beat a good USC team the game before, but check that, USC turned around and lost to BO in the Rose. You didn't lose to BO in the Rose unless you were stupid.

@@kennethjackowitz5508 Holtz repeatedly clashed with University of Minnesota's Dr. Rob Hunter over the proper treatment of athletes injuries. Holtz is a callous illusionist, he's even got YOU fooled!

@@robjohnson8861 The players might have something to do with that, too. Keep in mind that the upper classmen and majority of the key players on the '88 National Championship squad were recruited by Gerry Faust.

Lou has been one of my favorite persons. While he is a great coach, He has lost my respect and I'm very disappointed in him. Any one who can support a lying, cheating rotten piece of humanity like trump has lost his idea of decency. I'm ashamed of Lou.
@mikehiggins946 Жыл бұрын
How long did it take you to form your opinion of Lou as one of your favorite persons? What were the things you admired about him? What does it say about you that you would disavow that admiration based on his support for a political candidate? I can understand your strong feelings surrounding President Trump. He certainly has a personality that is not for everyone. As someone who reluctantly supported Trump I cringe at some of his tweets and the way he can be dismissive of people I have admired, John McCain for one. The reason I supported him had to do with his genuine love of this Country and how I believed that would guide his Presidency. I also like that he is genuine, often to his own detriment. I can't say I feel the same about the Democratic polititions of late. I see them as motivated mostly by the acquisition of power and then doing or saying anything to preserve their keeping it. There has never been a more decisive person in American politics than Donald Trump. I have been disappointed to see people who I've always admired completely lose their minds in their hatred of him. This is the reason why I've come to believe that how an individual feels about Trump and how they express their feelings says more about the individual than it does about Trump.
