Hell yea man... i just watched the segment "classic albums" and Transformer was last nights....it was soo cool seeing old interviews with Bowie talkin about the production of this masterpiece and also hearing what the studio musicians who worked on this record had to say.. It was definitely one of the best episodes of that program..up there with The Doors and their self-titled debut.

@Its Crazy Lou said the song was about jealousy but he probably wrote it around the time of the first televised moon landing, which might have been the seed of the allusion. Here's an earlier VU version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKnbk2Ova9d5frM "Harry Mark and John" was originally "Wynken, Blynken and Nod". Which was a poem about children dreaming about going into space. Or maybe it was another heroin reference. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJyrZ4Zsbqp4aKs
