Some off the cuff history for anyone stumbling across this (I was looking for Susan Vega). In 1985 Agents working on orders from the French government bombed the Rainbow Warrior while it was docked in Auckland harbour resulting in the death of one person. NZ police captured to the two French agents. Prime Minister at the time David Lange is heralded for the way he stood-up to US diplomatic pressure in the 80s and refused entry into New Zealand waters of US Nuclear powered vessels, however...
