I’m not involved in gang activity, but these gang leaders should be getting upset with their members that are on the streets and are allowing this to happen for money. @@-AxisA- that has nothing to do with my comment. I know every set is different. Doesn’t mean there isn’t universal rules that apply. For example, every AKA is different based on what college you go to but a universal rule is you don’t allow non AKA members to rock your letters or colors. From what I know the same applies to gangs. My point is these niggas are allowing these rappers to use their colors and claim to be a part of their gang for money and camera time. That’s it.

Coasting off another person's lifestyle for fame is the thing here. Gangster rap while alot of warstorying an negative image try to send a positive message to avoid the life an tell truth of the lifestyle. I heard one rapper say it's consistent because that's what the audience wants and what sells,so the negative music will always be what's in demand. People need to wake up an quit chasing a fake sense of tough or being real.😂

@@FknClownShoes I’d say a good 90% of rappers aren’t actually hard. 50 cent is hard. He does what he says. Most rappers aren’t actually doing the shit they say they do. You just said it yourself. Rapping about that stuff is what sells. So rap about, but don’t actually do it. Best of both worlds. A huge demographic for rap is white guys from ages 11-19. I don’t think rappers need their approval on whether they’re actually in gangs or not. What kind of millionaire rapper needs to be in a gang anyways? Gang shit is pathetic

He was trying not if he really is. That's why he said he didn't know what Whoopty meant, so he can try to act like he didn't know it meant gang shit. It's also why he stopped drill music, he says it at the end, that he stopped making drill music because he doesn't want to be involved in that shit anymore or known to be in or at least around gang members. People hate him for being a fake gangster, but it's actually smart to stay away and distance yourself and get out the hood with the money you make from that music. He's also way more mature and developed than the people hating on him for being a fake gangster

The situation is kinda stupid. Because in reality did everyone expect CJ to get on a genius interview and blatantly say “yeah Whoopty is gang terminology”😂😂😂😂but at the same time CJ messed up by not giving credit where it was due. He should have paid his respect. And NOT try to trademark a term he didn’t come up with😂 Edit: Also CJ is actually a real blood according to the bloodhound brims. The problem is that he’s from a different set. He’s from Hit Squad Brim, NOT bloodhound, and it was the Bloodhounds who originated the term whoopty supposedly. Just a bunch of dumb street politics that resulted in another ruined career😂😂

I am a mixed person I grew up in Oakland California so seeing these little latino boys on the big stage being such minstrels into black culture is fascinating to me. The Latinos and Blacks i came up with was cool with eachother but this is a no go. Also you notice you never see a black dude doing some sureno or Norteno rap cap.

Lol what? The so called "minstrels" co-signed this shit. Colors, race, religion....none of that shit matters when money is the motive.

East coast is different from the west coast specifically in NYC Latinos and Blacks all grow up in the same neighborhoods unlike Cali where it’s more divided

You never know who you know. It’s obvious that many artist coming out had threats from their own set. There is always something going around. Obviously in the video he made he was around some type of affiliation.
