It was referring to how in feb. 2024, Ticketmaster was discounting Pink Friday 2 tour tickets by 50% while also giving out $10 off coupons" So yeah.. it sold out. but it seems she had to do deals. idk... yall won. im prob wrong

Less than a minute in you claim male rappers didn't accept them as they were so they pitted them against each other. No male let alone a rapper accepts them because they dont rap about anything relatable. Every song is about 304 behavior hence why nobody listens.

I appreciate bigging up Nicki but this was a bit biased or under researched. U didn’t mention a HUGE PART of Nicki’s career and how it ties into her “selling sex” because Nicki didn’t embrace the sex icon status until her third album. Her first album, pink Friday, which was critically acclaimed as likely opened the door for every female rapper rapping today, she didn’t mention any sexual bar ONCE. And she dressed in a much more dramatic and colourful tone with crazy costumes instead of sexy and mature, which caused a lot of rap heads to discredit her as a legitimate MC early on in her mainstream career

honestly I don't see "ghostwriters" as a problem; social media has overblown it as some sort of "sin" and it shouldn't be the case. I mean Jay-Z wrote "Still D.R.E" and to this day nobody has accused Dre of nothing. 50Cent wrote stuff for The Game, and they all made good money out of it. This social media validation of "authenticity" is making skilled rappers to miss out on good lyrics to rap about, and killing careers for essentially virtue signalling
@summeryick5641

@@gadget00I think it dumbs down to perception, if I like a song I’ll still listen to it even though the artist didn’t write it. Dre gets away with it bc of his legendary status as a producer rather than an emcee. But I’ve also bought into the narrative that writing your own bars, finding your style and perfecting your craft is admirable and respectable. Which is why, while I enjoy them both, I think of Cardi as more of an artist than a rapper, and a rapper like Nicki can still stand against the newer wave of female rappers.

I think, female rappers need either eachother, or a “ops attract” kind of thing. A good example of this is not my fault by Renee rap ft Megan thee stallion. It’s not a bad song and it’s fun to sing. Rich baby daddy was a good song because of sza’s verse with her R/B flavor, sexyy red and her controversial lyrics, and drake with his beats. Female rappers can only go somewhere if they help eachother reach the top rather than breaking eachother down to get a second of fame. The passion isn’t there anymore and that’s the thing we miss.

Nicki Minaj struggling to sell out her world tour is what you said but it was literally her 32nd sold out world tour show (in a row) yesterday in Toronto... Nicki Minaj is probably not going to be rapping in her deep 40s is what you said but Kanye West, who's 46, released his album Feb. 9th and is on number 41 at Billboard 200 while Nicki & Pink Friday 2 (released Dec. 18th) are no.38. Stop with the BS

Man you did not do your research. Where did you hear that Nicki is struggling to sell out her tour? I'm Brazilian and for the last 15+ years Nicki is the only female rapper we still hear on the radio here in Brazil, plus she's an international superstar unlike other female rappers. I do agree her last album was not "it". I was hoping Pink Friday 2 would be a follow up to Pink Friday but nah shit was disappointing 😔

Doja Cat 's Scarlet album was dope though 🔥. She's one of the few female rappers who can put out a hit and chart . REMINDER: THE SCARLET ALBUM BY DOJA CAT DIDN'T HAVE ANY FEATURES 🔥

I think female rap can be seen as the end point of rap being popular in general. We had pop-rock in late 2000s, pure party bubble gum pop like Kesha and Katy Perry in early 2010s, edm pop like chainsmokers from 2016-2018, then rap dominated 2018-2022 with female rap being a sub sector at the tail end of that. Now I’d say we are in the country era. It’s not the girls fault it all just goes in waves. Nicki found superstardom by participating in the bubblegum pop wave that she existed in, now we might see more of that as pop comes back or more old town road songs

Video was already kinda mid enough but you had the nerve to end it with a lie?!?!? Nicki is not ‘struggling’ to sell out her tours. Every show she has performed has been sold out. Back. To. Back. Nobody is doing it like her. Nicki and struggling could never be in the same sentence when talking about rap. She is the queen. Undisputed. Idk if that was rage bait or not but it sure as hell irked me lmaoo
