Dear Lord Harp, thank you from the bottom of my heart for music. I am in love with it. I feel the Lord calling me out for a two year retreat and your music is the only music that touches me. Thank you, bless you, God protect and keep and lead you and your families all the days

Great work Dave, Asher, and gang!! I believe this is my fav as well. Although it is very hard to narrow it down to one song. I just happen to love Psalms 144 and if ya did a PS. 119 that would be my #1.

I love your music, and especially this song, but each time I listen, I'm singing along and then I stop and remember what bugs me, what seriously bothers me every time. the line: "You make our sons like tall oak trees. You make our daughters like bright flowers." Having grown up singing the Psalms I immediately go, "Wait a second!!!! that's not right!!!" As a woman, I love what scripture says here in the sung prayer that is Psalm 144 - not bright flowers, not mere ornaments, no, the Psalmist prays in his singing that by God's hand, "May our daughters be like corner pillars cut for the structure of a palace" or as we sing "like palace cornerstones." We are not mere ornaments. We are sources of strength on which that most important, central, and likely beautifully made place, leans - without us it will collapse into ruin! And while beauty is also a thing of import and wonder in itself, this line feels like a serious diminishment of who I am, or of who I can be by His grace, as a woman of God.

Your Psalm 144 reference is quite good. Also see Song of Solomon 2:1 (flower for female), 2:3 (tree for male). Perhaps the outward appearance of God's creative works (i.e. flowers and trees) and be seen as representing, not the outward adorning Peter warns of, but God's working in the hearts of men and women that is manifests itself in various ways according to who we are.

Wow! Okay.... Time for some Philippians 4:8 (Never does a true & sincere compliment deserve a brow beating. Nor does calling someone beautiful carry w/it a discrediting of strength or character). Wonderful song!
