The GT3 manual is a guaranteed collector car that will be around 40 years from now. That car is so lively. The only 911 I’ve been in was a friends 991 turbo. While very fast in a straight line the car was way more muted than the GT3. I’m a bike guy so of course I love the revs. My previous ZX6R would go 16,000 rpm, but my Z1000 is “only” 11,000

I think it's great that Porsche offers the GT3 with PDK and Manual. Not everyone likes to drive manual in these cars, some owner may buy the GT3 for racetrack use only (which is awesome imo) and to be honest the PDK has a great advantage over the manual transmission in these terms

This car was meant to have an H pattern, everything about it is so visceral and driver focused. I'll never understand why anyone would have this with a PDK

I’ll explain, this car is built for speed. A PDK can shift gears in 0.1-0.2 ms consistently. A manual sports car with a good driver can switch between gears in 0.3-0.5 and that isn’t consistent either. The GT3rs with PDK can switch gears so smoothly that it doesn’t upset the chassis, meaning shifting can be done during corners (although, it usually shouldn’t). You are probably just a CAR enthusiast, so this probably doesn’t matter to you, so I understand why you think a manual is visceral and driver focused. But for a DRIVING enthusiast, or a racing driver, these small differences are actually bigger than you would think.
