After installing mine and driving around, I did hear my BOV sound like it was sucking in air (I know it just blows out air). After a while I would hear then it would stop like you said. It doesn't whistle or slam closed but I'm glad it's normal. It sounds amazing when I let off the throttle. 😎

Normal, but you can install the heavier spring to combat this.

I’ve got a question my blow off valve doesn’t sound as high pitched as all the videos I’ve seen. It came with my rzr when I got it so I have no idea why it dosent sound like all the videos it’s more of a whoosh instead instead of a ping

Will the extreme spring cause less bo sound? Meaning it will only blow off after a more abrupt let off from the gas pedal? Seems my bov is always blowing if like to lessen the sound so thinking the heavier spring will do that?

yes, we offer 3 springs. Its all personal preference!

You have oil in the charge system. The BOV is the path of least resistance and is exposing an underlying issue.

Before my bov I could hit 60 mph in my maverick x3 xds type r. (Not regularly) After bov install I can only reach 45mph. Is that normal? Or what could be wrong.

Head back to the instructions, if it were the bov you’d have a leak which would 100% throw a code, if it’s not throwing a code it’s something underlying.

For the 120hp models does model year effect the loudness of the BOV at all? I installed one on my 2019 xrc and I can hear it in the cab but you’ve gotta be listening for it when outside the machine. But my buddies 2022 120hp model almost makes your ears ring inside the cab. Do the newer models run higher boost levels or would this indicate an issue either with the machine or BOV?

Usually guys leave the filter and pre filter on which is ONLY a muffler for the BOV.

Why is there 2 different kits for X3? See one with longer tubes(two of them) and then short one that mounts it next to turbo?

One is a bov kit, one is a full charge tube upgrade kit.

If you watch the video we cover what it COULD be, if it IS the spring then you're not building enough or any boost. Letting off the throttle doesn't mean you were under boost.

I just installed this on my 2016 xpt but right after that I got the check engine code 1127-31 😩

We're here to help you figure out what wasnt installed correctly. You have a boost leak somewhere. Likely the charge tube
