Could you describe how “Melody 2” was made? Was there any sequencer used here? What generates the pitch/notes?

the programmers at the bottom generate the basic pitch information - these work as "sequencers". This cv is sent to the o_c, which quantizes it to a scale. Additionally, there's modulation going to the waveshapers, which leads to some additional overtones.

yes it is! I use it with the hemispheres firmware - in these patches, it's always clock source and quantizer (if needed).

Forgot to ask... are Loudest Warning Serge panels based on "Paperface" Serge?

It really can be anything that is available as a pcb - that's basically up to you to talk to Charlie (Loudest Warning) what you want in there. I'm not too deep into Serge to tell you what exactly was in the first paperface versions already. I chose the paperface layout simply because I love the iconography, but I'm not interested in having "OG" paperface circuitry.

I took a look on photos from the description, and it seems that LW panels are VERY custom. Also was surprised to see o_c in the lower panel (i think thats something not related to serge at all, interesting how it fits there).
