I've never heard Behemoth. Certainly heard _of_ them...but never checked out the music. I'm more of an alt-metal fan....stuff like Tool and Deftones. I'm also into all sorts of other stuff...shoegaze, electronic music, etc... But it's strange....the older I get(37 now) the more I'm appreciating the creativity of other forms of metal. Anyway....this Nergal dude seems really cool. Appears to be a rather creative human. As an ex-evangelical, now member of TST in the US, I'm super interested in his approach and ideas involving Satanism. I find it pretty funny how modern Satanism is going through something of a renaissance, and is today FAR more honest and ethical than any of the other mainstream religions. It's basically become a very potent counter-myth to the tyrannical theocracy of the day. Great video!

As a Catholic, I 100% agree with his "do not enter my territory" point. It works both ways; if people don't like how religion works, they should just leave it alone: if people don't like Nergal or Behemoth or metal music as a whole, they should just leave it alone. There's literally no need to interfere at all, unless they're actively and explicitly inciting violence or hate crimes or anything that is universally bad. Him saying that the Bible is "a book of garbage" is his own opinion and view; people can agree with or dispute this but its his view and we cant change that. Graham has become an amazing interviewer. Asking questions that require the artist to think and also leaving them space to answer and expound. I hope we see more long form interviews from Loudwire and Graham.

Nergal always seems like such a genuinely cool dude in every interview or video I’ve seen him in. I really enjoy that he gets to be a representative of the anti-religion crowd because he’s so calm and collected, and well-spoken.

I instantly recognized the art of Zdzislaw Beksinski, his remarkable surreal post-apocalyptic style was unmistakable. If I were Adam Darski I would bid for those paintings of Beksinski.

Only saw the first few minutes, but I think it is just awesome that he met you in his own home, not just in the rehearsal studio or some public place. Not a lot of people would do this. I imagine, he has to keep his address more or less a secret because of his haters.

His final phrase in the interview struck me so hard just now: "be safe" It's been one year since the start of the f****** pandemic in Brazil (where I live) and now all hell is loose because people couldn't follow such a simple concept from a man as """""evil""""" as Nergal. Now Graham, loved the interview, good questions, organic answers and it must have been a blast to enjoy that trip to Poland! Also the band and album itself, can't go wrong. Behemoth delivers (in my opinion) a fresh line of black metal which just sounds so satisfying. Hope this crazyness passes soon so we can all go back to enjoying live concerts and in-person interviews. Stay safe! (Nergal, 2019)

Very compelling interview. Very interesting the clarity of thought and focus. I love ALL music, but I have not spent as much time exploring metal around the world as I probably should have. This artist seems to have a very clear vision of how he wishes to create and promote his art. I applaud his honesty and conviction. Peace out.

He's such a great human being, and his work keeps getting better. I remember hearing Behemoth in the late '90s and not being all that impressed by it. I still don't actively listen to their work, but the quality and artistry have obviously come into maturity.

Got to meet and take a picture with him on the Decibel tour with watain and in solitude. The dude was tired and trying to get away from fans, kept saying he had tacos or something waiting for him.
